  1. Finally we've reached a tipping point resembling the riot grrrl moment of the early '90s, one in which every feisty hip-hop soprano has a you-go-illygirl edge on her notebook-toting male competitors.

It may have taken three years for Go! Pop! Bang! to see the light, but fortunately, in Rye Rye's case, she has only gotten better with age.

The Baltimore-style synthesizer jabs are less of a novelty, though they still pump up the songs.

At times it feels like she's stuck in one gear, but her energy refreshingly and irresistibly recalls the un-cynical era of old-school breakbeat and hip-house.

  1. This album is very good better than I expected this is a great dance hip hop album. This album delivers what it suppose to. This type of dirty hip hop electro music is intended for club and parties. I give this album a nine because it was a very surprising album. Good producing and her lyrics is actually nice but not quite amazing . I do think she can improve on her lyrics for her next album. Overall very good album that deserve a nom for best dance album. Solid debut album filled with dance tracks. It's cool and it's not as annoying as the music we can hear nowadays also thanks to good artists collaborations such as M.I.A., Robyn or Tyga Expand

As colorful and unpretentious as its cover, Go! Pop! Bang! is an album made to be danced. It's a refreshing summer record with a lot of urban influences mixed with hard basses and synthesizers. Listen to: New Thing, Shake Twist Drop, Hotter and Boom Boom. Expand
