If your taste in music runs to bands that are very much one of a kind then this odd and oddly loveable album might well be to your liking. [Sep 2011, p.52]

While fans might be disappointed that the album doesn't feature "Herb" Alexander, they'll have a hard time being disappointed with Green Naugahyde, an album that will satisfy those in the know while continuing, as Primus always have, to baffle the uninitiated.

Jay Lane clearly understands how to complement Claypool's busy bass lines and LaLonde's unconventional guitar playing, and his drumming fits in really, really well with the group.

  1. For me this has been the best album so far this year. Hennepin Crawler, Eyes of the Squirrel, Jilly's on Smack, Moron TV, and Green Ranger are simply Primus classics. Great stuff from start to finish. Expand

  2. Primus is back to their roots! I STRONGLY disagree that Green Naugahyde sounds like Antipop, because it sounds nothing like it. Antipop was a very heavy album, but Green Naugahyde is reminiscent of Frizzle Fry and Sailing The Seas of Cheese (when they were flawless and funky!). Every song flows so well and many of them poke fun at today's news and celebrities. Overall, a fun and exciting album. The best tracks are "Last Salmon Man", "Jilly's On Smack", "Moron TV", and "HOINFODAMAN". Get it now! Expand

  3. Come on... this needs some more positive reviews. This album is fantastic. You probably won't be hearing it on the radio, so go get a copy of it. It doesn't disappoint. Expand
