    With tracks that frequently dart from sprawling, psychedelic pop to scuzzy post-punk and rock references, the record has a superb dynamic that holds the listener’s attention, while the band navigate through a single, tumultuous relationship. By the end of all that, you feel like they deserve a pint.

    It's difficult to compare Guy Walks into a Bar... to the Great Pretenders because the two are rather different stylistically. Guy Walks into a Bar is a much more personal record that leans much more into dancy, sci-fi synth than it's predecessor. That said, after many listen over the past few days, I can confidently say that it's an A record. The entire album start to finish is full of bangers and per the usual, the boys have done a tremendous job sequencing the record. Mikey takes on most of the vocal duties this time around but when Tyler gets an opportunity on tracks like Forgot Your Name and Don't Even Know You, he makes his mark with dope melodies and catchy hooks. Mikey's vocal range is also something to marvel on throughout the record.… Full Review »
