Dec 21, 2011It's a shame this little team [Dee Dee, producer Gottehrer and Raveonettes' Wagner]couldn't make more records like this.

Alternative PressMar 15, 2011The saccharine harmonies are still present on the title track; they're just augmented with more expansive arrangements that bring out a welcome new dimension to the band's sound. [Apr 2011, p.114]

Apr 21, 2011He Gets Me High is definitely worth a listen, if not a purchase.

Mar 14, 2011While it's a very short experience, that works in the band's favor, eliminating the filler that plagues many albums these days. -
Mar 29, 2011Even at its most elemental moments He Gets Me High sounds a lot more expansive than their debut. It might not be essential listening, but it certainly can be taking as foreshadowing of what a high-budgeted Dum Dum Girls might sound like.

Mar 14, 2011As holdover until the next album, He Gets Me High does exactly what it should: raise anticipation for what comes next.

Under The RadarAug 16, 2011There's plenty to love here in the melody department, and Dee Dee's too great of a songwriter to make a complete dud of a record. [Oct. 2011, p. 80]
