If there's a sense that the material has yet to coalesce to its strongest and most consistent point, there's much that bodes well for High Water II, due in 2019. [Sep 2018, p.86]

It’s a low-key, subtly composed rock record that sets slow-rolling country and anthemic southern rock as its parameters, and never so much as hints that it might break beyond them.

Psychedelic one minute (the jam-band-meets-Stone-Roses "High Water") to the nasty blues of "Send Me An Omen" to echoes of Poco in "Walk On Water", and it's all tasty. Former Crowes and new faces mix into a fine combo that makes precision look easy and loose at the same time. Bravo, sirs. Full Review »
