At times, those love ballads veer into over-the-top Leona Lewis territory (Emeli Sandé’s More Than Anything) that only the Brits, it seems, can get away with.

Home doesn’t successfully balance variety and cohesiveness, and as a result, Home sounds more like a collection of songs than a listening experience that is meant to be heard front to back.

Those two moments ["Powerless" and "Waiting All Night"] aside, Home is a very satisfying debut. [May 2013, p.107]

Rudimental have already shown on their tremendously successful singles that they have that special knack for making exciting and diverse pop. Sadly on Home it is a knack that we hear too little of.

The soul vocals of 22-year-old Yorkshire lad John Newman helped send the hit ["Feel The Love"] into anthemic stratospheres. The rest of this debut doesn't quite take off in the same way.

You catch several moments of inspiration but overall there's the sense of things having been made to a template.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. This album is just so so good. A mix of drum and bass along with the odd bit of dance and pop. By far, my favorite track on the album is "Powerless" with Becky Hill, who was a semi finalist on the first series of The Voice UK. Its so so good, and very powerful.
My mum, who hates drum and bass actually loves this album & has it on repeat in the car. This is just amazing! Go & buy it!
