    I was a little put off due to the length of the album, but I still had to give it a chance. I did not listen to the full album at once. I listened to the first half for a a couple of days, then moved on to the second half. Overall I really enjoyed the production of the songs, and Zayn's silky smooth voice is a pleasure to listen to. I find myself skipping the last 3 songs - they're not bad at all, i just think the other songs are so much better. I will still give it a 10/10 simply because i thoroughly enjoyed 99% of the album, and to be honest, i've been having it on repeat constantly. Icarus Falls has quickly entered my list of favourite albums of 2018.… Expand

Zayn has shown tremendous growth from his first album. Definitely an album that you fall more and more in love with upon more listens. Love it.     Overlook the length and sit down with this album on a free night and allow yourself to invest yourself into it. If you feel you don't have the time just listen to it in parts and zayn will still manage to charm his way into your heart imo. Very rare do you find an album of this length have different kinds of sounds but somehow still manage to remain cohesive. Never a dull moment. Zayn always impresses with his vocal ability but in this album you realise just how much he can do with his voice and how different he can make it sound. High or low, whether it's his voice or the mood of the song, zayn can make it work. The album starts off seemingly sweet and simple enough (though it's notable that even his love songs are deeper than the usual) until the mid which is marked by the soul crushing 4 minute long interlude. The rest of the album gets heavier and darker almost quickly and is arguably the better part of the album. With stellar production, smooth and effortless vocals which always manage to send a nod to his pakistani heritage, beautifully crafted lyricism and a little help from Greek mythology, zayn has shown that he clearly is a master of his art.… Expand

    It's honestly one of the best albums out this year. I love the concept and how he used greek mythology in his lyrics, both sides of the album, name and cover. So many highlights, both vocally and lyrically. I would definitely recommend it to a friend

    For a long album it's just wonderful how every track just has it's own special piece of art and emotions. I will say I'm just blown away by this one. Exceeded all my expectations and I want to just express how wonderful his voice is and his ability to make you feel his emotions is something only great artists do.     I must say that it's the first time that I feel deeply connected with some songs from a popular artist. His powerful and angelic voice touch my soul and taking me to another place. Very good work.

Zayn has managed to pick out so many little nuances from different genres (rock, pop, older country, r&b, even praise and worship?) and mold them together into one textured yet extremely cohesive album. It’s hopeful. It’s bright. It's smoky. It’s melancholy. And because Zayn truly understands music, and more importantly,I'm being completely objective here: it’s an incredible body of work. Zayn has managed to pick out so many little nuances from different genres (rock, pop, older country, r&b, even praise and worship?) and mold them together into one textured yet extremely cohesive album. It’s hopeful. It’s bright. It's smoky. It’s melancholy. And because Zayn truly understands music, and more importantly, himself, it’s able to exist as all of these things at once without seeming scattered and nonsensical.

    From heartfelt lyrics, to emotional strong vocals, to great production if I could give this album a 100 i would. 27 songs and not one filler song. Cohesive, related to the "Icarus Falls" theme, and double album. Zayn is one outstanding artist.

    Exceeded my expectations. At first i was like - meh, this album is too long for me to listen to, but i eventually gave it a go, mainly because i really liked zayns first album. I thought that I’d probably leave it half way through, but man this album was good. I couldn’t resist not listening ti it completely. An amazing album. Touches every genre.

    It's one of the best albums released this year. The symbolism is out of this world and showcases Zayn's genius. The lyrics, production and instrumentals show a clear progression from Mind of Mine. Check it out fir yourself!

He gave the world two albums worth of music, 27 songs divided by an interlude that sets the difference between both sides -- the romantic, hopeful and lovestruck one and then the disappointed and betrayed one that's a little tooMind of Mine, Zayn's debut album, was a great work and I didn't know how Zayn could top that. It's a ride of feelings delivered through Zayn's impressive and smooth high notes and falsettos.

    I haven't been able to listen to anything else since this album's release and, along with Rosalía's "El Mal Querer", Icarus Falls is my favourite 2018 album and certainly one of the best! Hopefully it'll continue to shine and it'll be recognised as the sublime work that it is.    … Expand

    An album that was worth the 2.5 year wait! Every song is unique in its own way. Standouts for me include Natural, Common, All That, There You Are and Imprint. It’s a hard feat to have a 27 track long album with no skips and Zayn has defiantly achieved that. Pleasantly surprised!

    Em seu segundo álbum de estúdio Zayn supera o seu primeiro "Mind Of Mine" e surpreende ao trazer grande qualidade em 27 MÚSICAS. Sem repetição, sem incoesão, e falhas quase imperceptíveis em algumas faixas. Totalmente pessoal e sincero.

I found myself with a sudden urge to listen to the whole album, i was like "if 5 of 27 songs can bring this much to the table, and do wonders, imagine what other 22 could bring". i was curious. So after finding some time from my busy schedule I sat by my big window with a coffee, plug my headphones and hit "play" on Let Me. I opened my eyes only when i realized album is over. I didnt even feel the time passing. it was that amazing. Zayn's voice, wow it does wonders to you that you dont even know how to explain. His voice was so melodic i feel the raw emotions and the feels that he feels in relation to my life, and suddenly Icarus Falls became my life story. The production is good, song choices were good. I didnt skip any song in my first go but later with the time, i decided to skip No Candle No Light simply because i am not a big fan of electric music. I love all the tunes tho, i loved how instrumentation carried on, with that instruments in that places with zayn's; voice it sounded magical. I never believe this album to be this good but WOW. I was genuinely impressed and i am still. The more i listen to the album the more i get addicted, the more i feel the emotion, the more i understand the depth and more i feel vulnerable and small because it hits in the right places and all your feels are all over the place. Its weirdly comforting, again. Honestly Mr. Malik, amazing job. It is extremely difficult to put 27 songs and not getting one bad song label. Definitely a improvement of Mind Of Mine in every way. lyrically, vocally, musically and the production vise. One of the best albums iv listened in 2018. Thank you zayn (:… Expand

There is 27 songs on the album but every song is PREFECT like i really can't skip one song or say this one is a bad song and the more i listen to it the more i fall in love with it if you tried to understand ZAYN and what he might have been through you will know how much deep and meaningful the lyrics are ...the whole concept of the album is so brilliant and the fact that Zayn is here for music and not charts makes me respect him even more.     Zayn stretches his music to new levels with a bit of something for everyone! Don't understand why people are saying it's too long, since when is more of a good thing a bad thing? It's the type of album that depending on your mood a new song jumps out as a favorite with every listen.

Each song is telling you a different story and yet they are all so beautifully in sync and these days it's really hard to find an artist like Z who is not only producing great music but also teach a lesson behind each and every song. Icarus Falls is like a wake-up call for all of us that he isn't what media is portraying him as through 'you wish you knew' he is giving the message to all those who didn't believe in him or betrayed him along the way also stating that he doesn't want to disappoint himself, making those good headlines yet in the end not getting anything good or fruitful in return and just those bad/hurtful comments. This album needs the recognition it deserves on so many platforms. Because not only did he create something unique he also formulated something one could relate to through music in the day to day life: love, pain, betrayal, loneliness, longing, passion, lust, desire, truth, trust these are just some of the themes across the album.     This album is long as hell and I didn't know if my attention span could handle it, but once you dig in it's easy to see there are two separate albums in one. The first half is an outpouring. It's an extensive declaration of love and several affectionate letters to one person. The second half is where the lyrics become more introspective and creative and the sound varies wildly. Incredible lyrics, amazing music and brilliant production makes this album top 3 of 2018. But the time I listened to the album, Zayn just proved to himself that he can literally pull off any genre. The songs are all lyrically creative. His voice is so angelic to the point where when you're listening to the album it feels like you're in heaven.     Everyone is putting the album of because of its length. Yes it is lengthy, it has 27 tracks but trust me when u listen to it u will fall in love with every single song. There are no skips at all. Zayn has insane vocals and it shows in this album.

    His second part, Zayn shows himself as a man who left all his demons behind, as in the first part, subjects like drugs, sex, relationships, and fame are waning in the second part of set, I hear a more fearless Zayn than the previous part, examples are "Good Guy", "Entertainer" and "Too Much", cited the first track that opens this part, I think the sample of "Bang Bang" could have been used better. One track that surprises me a lot on CD 2 is "Satisfaction" which features a beautiful song full of feelings, this is a highlight of the work, not compared to weakness of the album which is "No Candle No Light" which I find a spite and annoying, perhaps being the biggest mistake of this album.
    "Icarus Falls" may not be a well-known work, but Zayn's effort makes the album shine especially brightly.    … Expand

    Every song is an experience. This album legit makes me want to fall in love and make love nonstop. It's such a damn vibe. I can't get over his voice, so soothing and sweet and romantic. The yearnings and calling of something greater within the cosmos with "Flight of Stars", "There You Are" and the closing "Icarus Interlude."     8.Flight of the Stars.....again another weird song, I dunno, maybe its their placement in the album
    that makes me feel like that, it's like there are too many slow tempo/moody songs next to each
    other that kinda makes yuo bored, I really dunno, I love the title though.
    9.If I Got You....Such a generic song doesnt deserve to be in this record at all, I hate this
    song..NEXT!!
    10.Talk To Me...Finally a brighter song after a while, with Urban/Tropical feelings, the thing here
    its that I personally believe that Z hasn't figure out that he sings F***ing AWESOME and he doesnt
    need to change the way he sings(I am talking 'bout the verses here, I dont like when he doesnt
    project his voice not even a bit, He does that sometimes, He needs to realize that he doesnt have
    to do that to sound mature).
    11.There You Are...Definetly a POP song in this album, GOOD song , it reminiscens 1D in all ways
    here, nice memories to remember.
    12.I Dont Mind...It stars with a DJ Kalhed piano, it reminds me of "Do You Mind" by Dj Khaled,
    again the song is ok cause for me, it never goes where it should.
    13.Icarus Interlude....mmm..What Can I say about this song?I ve heard it several times now and I
    dont like the melody in the guitar..I know its suppossed to be dark and all that **** but NOOO,
    there is NO WAY you call that guitar sound MUSIC, it DOESNT FIT , IT JUST DOESNT, which brings me
    to my next point.
    14.Good Guy...i didnt like it ata all at the beginning, but then i read the lyrics and it kinda built up eventually, the guitar sample was sick!!!
    15.You Wish You Knew...decent track.
    16. Sour Diesel...The first song I ve ever heard in my life that reminds me of Seinfield TV SitCom,
    that Base at the end!!, its a good song, it feels like one of those reock n roll driven songs that
    Michael Jackson had and they were good, but that Base, its a NONONO.
    17.Satisfaction...another decent track AGAIN, it kinda bores cause like OTHER TRACKS HERE never
    goes anywhere, though its worth listening.
    18. Scripted....Meet Frank Oceans Channel Orange lost child, this song belongs to that record, its
    sooo brilliant, its perfect, I guess we know who's behind this(Malay)
    19.Entertainer...I am tired of typing at this moment..."sighs"..ok..quickly ..we all know this song
    a while ago now and there isnt much to say bout it.
    20.All That...AGAIN it doesnt deserve to be in this record AT ALL.
    21.Good Years...Nice Ballad with some real High Notes, another diss to his 1D times(not like
    bEfOuR) but either way, try not to listen to this one too much you might get bored of it.
    22.Fresh Air...One of Z's worst songs ever!!

    I have no words for this album, there are no tiresome songs and only quality! The album can be a bit tiring because it has many tracks, but the quality compensates more than an hour listening. Compositions, incredible sound! Zayn has only been evolving ever more.

    Firstly, why isn't Dusk Till Dawn, his best song, on this album? Secondly and foremost, who thought 27 tracks was a good idea?

    the music is good but the album is so long. he could've dropped some songs from the record and the collabs were not at the level of the other songs. most importantly you can feel how distant the singer is from his work this actually gave me bad vibes

Most of the songs are compelling while others are not so good. But no song stands out, meaning that none of the songs has the potential to be a hit single.     Excellent. Mind blowing! I didn't think Mind of Mine could be topped but zayn outdid himself. Trust zayn to always deliver quality content. Love this album. One of my top favorites of all time. Deserves so much more recognition. People are honestly missing out

The whole album has diversity and the whole 'icarus' which is the positive vibe, where the heis still in live and then 'falls' where complications and depression starts to kick in.     A really good album,but it was TOO long (27 songs).That´s why the album didn´t sell well and is considered a comercial Flop.
    In the next one ZAYN should mix quality (which he has to spare) and a more commercial view (less songs and choose wisely the singles).
    Best songs (in my opnion) : Back to Life,Flight of the Stars,Entertainer.

    There is a grow in Zayn as an artist that is admirable and palpable. At first twenty seven tracks seems excessive but its congruence altogether left me lovingly surprised. Excellent body of work!

    Icarus Falls has a lot of songs and some of them are quite good. As a vehicle for blitzing the internet with Zayn singles, the album is totally effective. But the concept is only half-conceived, and the listening experience is repetitive and dull.
