On their last release, Color Your Life EP, Twin Sister managed to deliver a diverse and interesting set of songs. While In Heaven is definitely more coherent (indie and dream pop dominate the album), it has little energy. There is no standout track such as All Around and Away We Go and most of the material feels tedious. Kimmi in a Rice Field saves the record â

Heaven? or Las Vegas? or, more probably (circa late '90's), Chicago? Hard to predict quite where Twin Sisters will end up, but it's a lovely, leisurely, labile journey all the same. [#81, p. 58]

Coming off their auspicious 2010 EP Color Your Life, Long Island's Twin Sister have delivered a maddeningly ambitious, haphazard, and unfortunately inconsistent debut LP. [Oct. 2011, p. 106]

For such a young band, Twin Sister has crafted a work of real emotional depth, and molded lots of interesting musical bric-a-brac into a record that will stay long in the memory and longer in the heart.
