    Overall, it’s an impressive progression on all counts.

    Intersections is colorful but not full of drivel or loquacious exposition. It isn't pretentious. It's just raw and fucking heartwarming. Grab it.

    The record’s high peak, “Upstate Blues,” displays more Kinsella influence (this time Owls) in its jazzy bursts. But the clever wordplay is all Weiss.

    When Weiss manages to get outside himself, Intersections uses emo as a step towards something more resonant.
