Produced by Tassa and Greenwood and mixed by Nigel Godrich, Jarak Qaribak (translating from Arabic as “Your Neighbor Is Your Friend”) constantly and refreshingly brings together a variety of styles – not just in terms of country of origin but also eras and genres.

Jarak Qaribak is a rich, fascinating case of music both carrying history and shaping the future, redrawing the limits of the possible in specific, limited, yet meaningful ways.

A complete collection of interesting, fresh textures on music that makes me exited about how wider the world expands with this album. A lot of reflections comes into my mind, but I'll just say that I wish we can have both, more curious ears in search for the sounds of the world, just as a world which can safely produce, create and explore its own musical folklore with the excitement of being heard and present for everyone who is brave enough to face wisdom.
