    Some of the greatest work Em has ever delivered with two songs in particular (the Ringer and Lucky You) that will comfortably slot into his all time top ten.

    I honestly think it's a little awkward for any critic giving Kamakaze a mixed review; you cannot love lyrics and rapping and not love this album. It's that simple.

    There are some songs I don’t like but the album itself was amazing. To the people who are saying that it just rap with no content, he was doing that with revival and it was trashed. I personally liked revival so I don’t know what you guys want him to do. Time have change and people don’t like his style no more. Mumble seems to be the new thing, though Eminem is still the Goat.

    When Eminem albums work best is when he is wroking at a specific concept (Recovery, Marshall Mathers LP). This album he has a clear focus and a c;ear anger and it works very well. It's a strong release from Eminem. The lyrics and beats are strong and tight, his message is clear.
    What makes reviewing Eminem albums a challenge is that we compare it to his previous    Eminem in a Vaccum
    When Eminem albums work best is when he is wroking at a specific concept (Recovery, Marshall Mathers LP). This album he has a clear focus and a c;ear anger and it works very well. It's a strong release from Eminem. The lyrics and beats are strong and tight, his message is clear.

    What makes reviewing Eminem albums a challenge is that we compare it to his previous work. So if you listen Kamikaze pretend you don't know who Eminem is, adn this album exists in a vacuum. Does that maker it better or worse? I would argue it seriously improves what I think of the album. But I understadn albums don't exist in a vacuum. And by comparing it to other previous works it ends up seeming okay. He's one of the greatest hip hop aritst of a generation adn that's what we compare it to. S naturally any music after a persons magnum opus is going to seem weak.

    But overall the album is decent, a 7/10 range. Especially notable songs:

    The album is very very good. The tracks are great, the beats on point and the the lyrics are as always some of the best in hip-hop. Don't let the critic score fool you, this album is well worth the buy.

    Eminem makes a thankfully quick return to the world of hip-hop, and after going through the motions last year, he is back, with beats, lightning quick bars, and smart wordplay and lyrics that is for the most part, an entirely fresh and admittedly fire album from him.

    First 3 tracks are complete fire imo. It slows down a bit with normal. Not Alike was cool, I definitely liked the beat switch, Fall was pretty good too. Kamikaze was eh to me. The last 3 tracks were absolute garbage to me though. So... 7.

    This is just my own opinion it would be a 10/10 if it wanst for "fall", not my cup of tea (i know its being highly reviewed) all the rest songs are extremely enjoyable, with amazing flow, lyrics and production. For me, eminem is back in the game finally!

    This is easily one of his best albums in years. Eminem produces his best lyrics when his back is against the wall. This kind of reminds me of The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP. It’s so sad that critics in 2018 don’t know what real hip hop is. This album is amazing!!

    Good to see that EMINEM finally got his mojo back, after two back to back disappointing albums we see a return of a more lightweight yet hard hitting beats that EMINEM can ride really well. People like Joynar and Joyce just add more value and there is great variety from a more diss like Fall to a more emotional Steeping stone. Hopefully The big bad bully of rap sticks to it

All of the disses aside, this is just a fantastic album for Eminem fans and hip hop fans alike. If you have any appreciation for the art form, this is the GOAT back in tip top shape.     It is funny to see "critics" are not liking this album solely on the grounds that it's not too "poppy". Granted, the hooks are not for everybody and some need a deep subject matter. What is impossible to deny is that Eminem continues to be the best wordsmith of our times.     Eminem continues to show us his great technical skills and some interesting collaborations. I enjoyed Revival but I guess this album will be better liked by his fans.

    Excellent way to address the state of hip hop in 2018. Very meta and very relevant album. Eminem hits us once again with his award winning lyrics and flow. Reminds us that the mumble rappers of late are children's games compared to the one and only Marshall Mathers.

While the Ringer is the most talked about song, Fall has to be my favorite track on the whole record. It comes back with the "don't give a **** attitude that i personally love from Eminem.

    Unfortunately the album loses value, with basically garbage songs, like Normal and Nice Guy, Normal is so awkward, and it feels so out of place on this album. Nice Guy is completely terrible, Jessie Reyez voice is unlistenable to, and i did myself a favor to actually delete that track as i never want to see it again.

    The song Venom doesn't belong here, even though it isn't a bad song. It'd be better to just release as a standalone, and the remix for Chloraseptic would make more sense being there

    But i think the good clearly outweighs the bad, The highlights are to high for the lows to even matter, too much.

    Revival wasn't that bad. Kamikaze really brings back the nostalgic Slim Shady vibe though. "The Ringer", "Greatest", "Lucky You" , "Stepping Stones, "Fall", and "Not Alike" are all great tracks. The digs at the current state of hip-hop feel refreshing when you realize how watered down and mumbly rap has become.

This album only lacks the atmosphere of 2000s, but it's not"Kamikaze" reminds me "Hell: The Sequel" and a little bit "The Eminem Show".     The best version of Eminem we got in a while. Apologies accepted for the trash "Revival" was. Those two were the phrases that came to my mind. After listening to this album for the third time in two days, I can say that he didn't disappoint me this time. Favorite tracks being "Lucky You", "Stepping Stone" and "Fall". Get ready to hear a lot of dissing going after almost every rapper you know.

Anybody who enjoys listening to rappers who are skilled lyricists who know how to utilize a beat properly should absolutely snatch this up. Eminem raps across the album with impressive diction and and cadence. His flow is precise, his word-play is clever and the beats are a great fit for his verbal prowess. He takes shots at anybody in the way and honestly most of what he says is right on the money. His detractors are likely to be either

    A) Butthurt critics
    B) Mumble Rappers
    C) MGK and his fanbase
    D) Trump supporters
    E) And in rare circumstances, people who are not butthurt and genuinely did not like the album.

    Obviously when it comes to art, everybody has their own preference and no matter how good an album is, there will always be some people who dont enjoy it. I do agree with most crirics on one thing, that it is his best in years. The reason I did not like Revival is because it had way too many features and it was too pop-friendly. So if you want a great Eminem album that truly showcases why he is the best on a beat, I highly recommend picking this up. It is a 10 to me but obviously that is just 1 mans opinion. My advice, ignore the critics and decide for yourself.    … Expand

    With his back to the wall it’s is the best Em’s sounded in years. Hip-hop fans love it; ‘professional critics’, not so much. Journalists reviewing him to his own high standards and not to the same metric they use for everyone else is misleading and unprofessional.

    Eminem has found his stride again. Sad that critics of this album have been made desensitized to what true hip hop really is. Album is almost flawless from start to finish and any missteps are pretty nit picky. THIS is what we want from Eminem in 2018 and beyond.

    Critics either dont have the ability to understand his lyrics or are just mad they were wrong when they said Eminem had lost it.

He switches up flows so many times in one song, sometimes in one verse, and keeps the whole thing refreshing. The first track is over 5 minutes but it feels like 2-3. And the second track is great, thirdThis is the Eminem I wanted. His flow, rhyming and wordplay is particular great here than previous albums. And the instrumentals are nice. It’s 2018 homophobic slurs can go, however we do know you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, these words have been used by him before h was famous. I can do without the relationship songs. Even though lyrically they are good, it’s no different than any other.

    If you’re not an original Mc you just got chin checked! Em took his least favorite genre of hip hop and murdered those artists who use that genre, mocked them, and did it better than they could. I’ve read other reviews “yeah, he fast raps, whatever”. Did you hear what he said? Probably not cause you were busy hating. It doesn’t matter the style or flow, he does the same when busta bust does a guest spot, he murders you on or with your own stuff. He gave respect to some, props to Wayne and imitated his voice to diss others for copying Wayne. Props to Drake then ghost write diss. The rest, you’ll have to listen to. The guest spots were on point.

    Non mancano le frecciatine a Trump, che però hanno uno spazio marginale. Ad esempio, vi ricordate Like Home? Ecco, non ci sono canzoni interamente dedicate al Presidente degli Stati Uniti D'America, ma semplici barre (come in "The Ringer", ad esempio).
    Non manca nemmeno lo storytelling classico di Eminem, che ritroviamo in Normal, Nice Guy e Good Guy.

    A ciò si aggiungono la sua metrica eccezionale (che ricordiamo, nel corso degli anni è solo migliorata) ed il suo flow in grado di coinvolgere chiunque ascolti le sue canzoni. Quest'ultimo, inoltre, può mutare anche 3 o 4 volte nella stessa canzone. Insomma, Em dal punto di vista tecnico si è riconfermato essere il GOAT.
    I featuring sono pochissimi (3) e perfetti. Royce tira fuori il meglio di Eminem, l'inaspettato Joyner Lucas porta freschezza in Lucky You.

    kamikaze has Eminem at his best, everything is impeccable from production to his delivery. His flows were smooth and the content was great. This album was absolute perfection, every track was of the highest quality. The only below par track is NICE GUY, but i can live with that.

    In addition to the generally good music in this album, it also fairly entertaining; a clash between Eminem's era where lyricism was most crucial to the now new generation of mumble rap, where lyricism is weak, but the focus is on the beat and "riding" it. So when Eminem mocks mumble rappers, such as all the "lils" by either name-calling them or mimicking their music, it is very fun, entertaining and reminiscent of his old 'Slim Shady' days.

    With that said, however, this album is not 100% perfect. Some songs have bad hooks and I think the ending of the album is relatively weak compared to the immense start.

    But this doesn't take away from the rest of the album which is amazing; it is lyrical, entertaining, fun and has that raw power of a sleeping giant who has his 'fuse lit.' An album for his redemption, which you can hear from Eminem's thirst and hunger from the start. Hence I have given it a 10, but in reality, I would probably give it 9.5 as the weak ending and the 3 aforementioned songs.    … Expand

    So many good beats mixed with the finesse of Em's lyrics. People don't like the hooks but i could not care less since he kills it anyway. "The Ringer" doesn't even have one and is my favourite.

    Eminem delivered a pleasant surprise with this album, albeit falling short on a couple of songs. It is evident he applied much of the criticism from Revival, as the contrasts in sound and content are enormous, but in a positive way.

The album, Kamikaze, features an angry, spiteful Eminem firing at all his critics and people who ignore his past accomplishments and albums and focus on just the negatives. This album is what all of his fans have been waiting for since the release of Relapse in 2009. In my opinion, this is one of the best albums Eminem has releasedAfter 2017's Revival Eminem again redeems himself in rap.     This album is an improvement from "Revival" in the categories of production, content, delivery, and variety. I'm not sure where this album ranks in his discography, but it's worth a listen by any fan or person who generally enjoys Eminem's music. My highlighted tracks are Lucky You, Stepping Stone, Not Alike, and Fall.

    Responding directly to everyone who doubted Mr. Mathers and criticizing the current scene of Hip Hop was the main touch to bring Kamikaze to the top, the name of the album closes 100% with its main idea (Eminem dropped this surprise album without any marketing)

    BOTH: I think the last three tracks did not fit into the album's atmosphere and could very well have been replaced.
    The first few seconds of the Nice Guy track are impossible to hear, seriously.
    Venom made it seem like a continuation of Phenomenal, not that this is bad, but it's more of the same.

    A great album, a great comeback from a great rapper.

    Eminem really got back to his old self. I didn't really like Revival and rated it less than 5. However, this album is possibly top 3 best of his album. He comes out, disses people, spits fire, got rhymes, flow and speed. It feels like he really let "Slim Shady" out on this one. Beats are by Dre which is noticeable. The only thing lacking, for me, is a laid-back passive-aggressive track such as Marshall Mathers or I'm Back, even something like Say goodbye to Hollywood or Headlights (beat wise) would have been amazing. This album feels much more in tune with the times than Em's last, with common production/lyrical tropes seen in many a rap hit today present inIf Revival felt like a failed attempt to stand alone against the tide of modern rap trends perverting the genre (in Eminem's opinion, mine, and a lot of other people's), then Kamikaze is a simultaneous acceptance and subversion of said trends. This album feels much more in tune with the times than Em's last, with common production/lyrical tropes seen in many a rap hit today present in several songs, but what's most interesting is the way he manages to both sell them with a straight face and poke fun at them at the same time. The Wrath of Shady (perhaps a more appropriate, if less entertaining, title for this album), however, isn't limited purely to crap-rappers of the Lil Pump variety - music critics who can't be pleased, fickle audiences who embrace artists one day and reject them the next, and plenty more are subjected to his spittle-flying fury (as impressive on a technical, polysyllabic level as ever) for setting their expectations too high and then complaining when he doesn't live up to them. The end result is something akin to watching a grown man throwing a temper tantrum over his own fading relevancy in a rapidly evolving world, and it's absolutely fascinating to watch. THIS is the Eminem we hoped to find on Revival - profane, juvenile, and angry without losing his sense of humor - and in spilling his guts about being afraid of getting lost in the shuffle, Em is on the fast track to reclaiming his throne. 9/10

This man demands his respect, and all the drama aside, I'll say he has earned it this time. Not as well polished as the MMLP2 either, but the lyrical ability and ballsiness makes it a more entertaining album overall. Not to mention the great production.     The real slim shady has stood back up. While I appreciate the redeeming tracks on Revival like Castle and Arose, there was just something missing. With this, it's like he's been aware of all the criticisms of people saying he's too positive, working with pop stars, etc. So he rewound the clock, and brought back the angst. And my ears are pleased.

    It didn't take him more than some months to come back. His previous project, Revival, got heavily criticized and he decided to answer to all these critics with music. In Kamikaze, he seems hungry and unleashed with mesmerizing lyricism and flow. He is dissing a whole lot of rappers, while giving props to others. Some are glad, but some aren't that he is back!

    As sheer performance, Eminem's vocals remain a thing of wonder, which is why it's so dispiriting to hear him circling the drain, relying on old tricks instead of expanding his worldview. He has the musical skills to mature; he's just refusing to let himself act his age.
