    This is just my own opinion it would be a 10/10 if it wanst for "fall", not my cup of tea (i know its being highly reviewed) all the rest songs are extremely enjoyable, with amazing flow, lyrics and production. For me, eminem is back in the game finally!

    Eminem continues to show us his great technical skills and some interesting collaborations. I enjoyed Revival but I guess this album will be better liked by his fans.

    This is easily one of his best albums in years. Eminem produces his best lyrics when his back is against the wall. This kind of reminds me of The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP. It’s so sad that critics in 2018 don’t know what real hip hop is. This album is amazing!!

It’s 2018 homophobic slurs can go, however we do know you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, these words have been used by him before h was famous. I can do without the relationship songs. Even though lyrically they are good, it’s no different than any other.

    If you’re not an original Mc you just got chin checked! Em took his least favorite genre of hip hop and murdered those artists who use that genre, mocked them, and did it better than they could. I’ve read other reviews “yeah, he fast raps, whatever”. Did you hear what he said? Probably not cause you were busy hating. It doesn’t matter the style or flow, he does the same when busta bust does a guest spot, he murders you on or with your own stuff. He gave respect to some, props to Wayne and imitated his voice to diss others for copying Wayne. Props to Drake then ghost write diss. The rest, you’ll have to listen to. The guest spots were on point.

    I hated to have to be negative but overall he torched it! Please have an even keel and listen to the words when you press play on this album.    … Expand

    Revival wasn't that bad. Kamikaze really brings back the nostalgic Slim Shady vibe though. "The Ringer", "Greatest", "Lucky You" , "Stepping Stones, "Fall", and "Not Alike" are all great tracks. The digs at the current state of hip-hop feel refreshing when you realize how watered down and mumbly rap has become.

    After 2017's Revival Eminem again redeems himself in rap. The album, Kamikaze, features an angry, spiteful Eminem firing at all his critics and people who ignore his past accomplishments and albums and focus on just the negatives. This album is what all of his fans have been waiting for since the release of Relapse in 2009. In my opinion, this is one of the best albums Eminem has releasedAfter 2017's Revival Eminem again redeems himself in rap. For the pop rap fans, eminem delivered with "good guy" and "normal." eminem brought back the "paul" skit for nostalgic reasons and brought some humor to transition nicely from new school rap into the old school/pop rap bits before answering withem came hard with "the ringer," "the greatest," "lucky you," "not alike," and "fall" with an old school eminem record with "stepping stones." For the pop rap fans, eminem delivered with "good guy" and "normal." eminem brought back the "paul" skit for nostalgic reasons and brought some humor to transition nicely from new school rap into the old school/pop rap bits before answering with the "em calls paul" skit to transition back into a more new school style of rap. "nice guy," "venom," and "kamikaze" are definite low points of the album, but "venom" is a movie soundtrack song so it gets a pass. overall a solid album and a solid comeback after the horrid "revival" album for eminem.… Expand

The fact that this album hit number 1 in so many countries should speak volumes, maybe not proving it is a 10 but at least proving it is far from a 0. Eminem raps across the album with impressive diction and and cadence. His flow is precise, his word-play is clever and the beats are a great fit for his verbal prowess. He takes shots at anybody in the way and honestly most of what he says is right on the money. His detractors are likely to be either

    A) Butthurt critics
    B) Mumble Rappers
    C) MGK and his fanbase
    D) Trump supporters
    E) And in rare circumstances, people who are not butthurt and genuinely did not like the album.

    Obviously when it comes to art, everybody has their own preference and no matter how good an album is, there will always be some people who dont enjoy it. I do agree with most crirics on one thing, that it is his best in years. The reason I did not like Revival is because it had way too many features and it was too pop-friendly. So if you want a great Eminem album that truly showcases why he is the best on a beat, I highly recommend picking this up. It is a 10 to me but obviously that is just 1 mans opinion. My advice, ignore the critics and decide for yourself.    … Expand

    The Rap God is back with a vengeance. This album is incredible, Em works his magic, bar after bar of brilliance on top of great beats. All of the disses aside, this is just a fantastic album for Eminem fans and hip hop fans alike. If you have any appreciation for the art form, this is the GOAT back in tip top shape. Give it a couple of listens, the replay-ability is great, always catchingThe Rap God is back with a vengeance.     This is Eminem's best album since The Eminem Show. Some hooks could be done better, but the wordplay on this is out of his world. Plus, he got his lost identity back (since Recovery), what made his albuns since then decay in quality (Recovery, MMLP2, Revival). 8 for the album + 2 for going at mumblerap.

This man demands his respect, and all the drama aside, I'll say he has earned it this time. Not as well polished as the MMLP2 either, but the lyrical ability and ballsiness makes it a more entertaining album overall. Not to mention the great production.     Good to see that EMINEM finally got his mojo back, after two back to back disappointing albums we see a return of a more lightweight yet hard hitting beats that EMINEM can ride really well. People like Joynar and Joyce just add more value and there is great variety from a more diss like Fall to a more emotional Steeping stone. Hopefully The big bad bully of rap sticks to it

To slam this album for homophobic slur seems slightlyRapping for the hell of it. Eminem shares Pitchfork's aversion to criticism. If major publications can indulge themselves by adjusting their tastes to recent trends Eminem has just as much a right to resist them. In the age of the blogger, where narrowly defined parameters define what is good and what isn't consistency can be lacking. To slam this album for homophobic slur seems slightly inconsistent since the same publications hail the more acidic MMLP which is laced with more slurs than all Eminem's recent work combined. A lot of the songs hit hard lyrically and most of his songs in the past are just that, deep hard hitting songs. If you listen carefully to his lyrics and look up the meaning to those lyrics you appreciate how important Em is to the hip-hop scene that has been overly saturated by mumble rap in which he focuses his rage towards. People that say "this album isn't anything special" and "he just raps fast woopdidoo" don't understand true hip-hop and how powerful the words that are spoken are. People like that just want a catchy beat with lyrics that don't mean anything.

    Get this album if you want to listen to real hip-hop with meaningful lyrics. You won't be disappointed.    … Expand

    There are some songs I don’t like but the album itself was amazing. To the people who are saying that it just rap with no content, he was doing that with revival and it was trashed. I personally liked revival so I don’t know what you guys want him to do. Time have change and people don’t like his style no more. Mumble seems to be the new thing, though Eminem is still the Goat.

    Kamikaze is a showcase of what Eminem is really capable of. The lyrical flow and content that has always made him a standout figure in Hip Hop has returned for this album. With features from Joyner Lucas, who has an extremely bright future, and Royce Da 5"9, who brings a nostalgic tone from the Bad Meets Evil era. Jessie Reyez also brings a new type of voice to Eminem's music, with anKamikaze is a showcase of what Eminem is really capable of. The lyrical flow and content that has always made him a standout figure in Hip Hop has returned for this album. With features from Joyner Lucas, who has an extremely bright future, and Royce Da 5"9, who brings a nostalgic tone from the Bad Meets Evil era. Jessie Reyez also brings a new type of voice to Eminem's music, with an equally rough tone as the man himself, but in the female version.

    The main criticism of this album has been that Em sounds like hes 'wining' instead of firing back. But the 'come and get me attitude' from the old Slim Shady era has returned and overrides any sense of 'wining' that people may focus on.

    This album is not the best hip hop album of the year but it is probably the most lyrically impressive, and certainly Eminem's best for a while.    … Expand

    Kamikaze is a great return to from from Eminem from Revival, was is arguably his worst album to date. Kamikaze features all of the ferocity of Eminem's previous albums along with trendier and up to date beats and flows.

    The album is the best Eminem has released since The Eminem Show while some would argue the Marshall Mathers LP 2 is better. The Hooks, flows and beats are all on point and work well together. The same good Eminem lyrics are also over the beats, which is ofcourse the biggest plus.

    L'album, infatti, concede ampio spazio alla risposta a quelle stesse critiche ricevute l'anno scorso, senza però fossilizzarsi su di esse. Attraverso l'uso di beat (prodotti da Dre e dallo stesso Slim) dallo stile che ricorda un po' quello dei nostri "cari" amici trappari, il rapper americano arriva anche a parlare di questi ultimi e della loro musica, facendo capire più e più volte quanto a lui non vada a genio. Possiamo perciò parlare di dissing a tutta la scena trap del momento.

    A return to better form, but not a classic Em album. The production has a more modern sound. His acerbic hatred and seething being the featured theme. Still several tracks where slurs come into play and they hamper the songs - Em should be past that at this point in his career. Highlights include: The Ringer, The Greatest, and Venom

    Excellent album from the best white turnips performers. Of course the best composition is Venom. But also Greatest with Humble echoes is other than Kendrick Lamar. And so I didn't expect from Eminem новго an album in 2018.

    This album is very good with lyrics and flows and does a good job at dissing disrespectful rappers of cliched and unskilled lyricism, but the lowlights are songs where Eminem is sour and bitter about what people though of his worst project, Revival. Still, the album has good disses and it is surprising the small time frame the album was made in.

Does that maker it better or worse? I would argue it seriously improves what I think of the album. But I understadn albums don't exist in a vacuum. And by comparing it to other previous works it ends up seeming okay. He's one of the greatest hip hop aritst of a generation adn that's what we compare it to. S naturally any music after a persons magnum opus is going to seem weak.

    But overall the album is decent, a 7/10 range. Especially notable songs:

    A great return to form after 'Revival'. The lyrics are sharp, the beats aren't amazing but are a big step up and those flows...Some of the best flows of Eminem's whole career end up on this album.

While the Ringer is the most talked about song, Fall has to be my favorite track on the whole record. It comes back with the "don't give a **** attitude that i personally love from Eminem.

    Unfortunately the album loses value, with basically garbage songs, like Normal and Nice Guy, Normal is so awkward, and it feels so out of place on this album. Nice Guy is completely terrible, Jessie Reyez voice is unlistenable to, and i did myself a favor to actually delete that track as i never want to see it again.

    The song Venom doesn't belong here, even though it isn't a bad song. It'd be better to just release as a standalone, and the remix for Chloraseptic would make more sense being there

    But i think the good clearly outweighs the bad, The highlights are to high for the lows to even matter, too much.

Makes sense looking back at his career. Always the target, and his albums, the good ones, are a shot back at the criticism. Anyway, Loved it.

After a solid album in Marshall Mathers LP 2, fans were ready for another with Revival. Sadly that album and it’s album rollout were easily the worst, of this decade, and of Marshall’s career and the worst of the year as well. However, just over 9 months laterKamikaze, kind of, lives up to its title as this album is an absolute surprise bombing by one of the best rappers of all time. After a solid album in Marshall Mathers LP 2, fans were ready for another with Revival. Sadly that album and it’s album rollout were easily the worst, of this decade, and of Marshall’s career and the worst of the year as well. However, just over 9 months later Eminem seems to have channeled his evil twin Slim Shady and asked him for advice because the sound of this album is very reminiscent of Eminem’s earlier moments of his career, yet done with inspiration and some of the style of today’s rap/trap movement. It is nowhere near a perfect project however, some awkward hooks and clunky sounds in the final three tracks can be a bit cringy and this album may have been better suited as a 10 track project. While, sort of but not totally, understandable why these tracks are included it’s not helping the albums cause. Lastly, most of the first 10 tracks on this project are pretty great, yet can be very subjective to the listener, while some lyrics sound cringy, for the most part they’re smart, goofy and very reminiscent of the earlier days of Slim Shady. While not an amazing project, Kamikaze definitely will stir some controversy and will surely be in many peoples favorite rap album year end lists, but it will also be in many people’s least favorites as well. Eminem isn’t for everyone and this project is a great example of that, but for those who have stuck with Marshall throughout the years this is a rewarding treat and one with plenty of tracks that will be in many peoples' playlists regardless of peoples opinion of the overall body of work. Not the best listen from front to back, or start to finish, but Eminem finally looks like he knows once again what makes rap music good again and how to create it, and will continue to keep this in mind going forward. Let's hope he remembers and keeps that in mind and doesn't forget that like he had on Release, a good amount of times during Recovery, and most recently of course, Revival.… Expand

    The best version of Eminem we got in a while. Apologies accepted for the trash "Revival" was. Those two were the phrases that came to my mind. After listening to this album for the third time in two days, I can say that he didn't disappoint me this time. Favorite tracks being "Lucky You", "Stepping Stone" and "Fall". Get ready to hear a lot of dissing going after almost every rapper you know.

    First 3 tracks are complete fire imo. It slows down a bit with normal. Not Alike was cool, I definitely liked the beat switch, Fall was pretty good too. Kamikaze was eh to me. The last 3 tracks were absolute garbage to me though. So... 7.

    Eminem makes a thankfully quick return to the world of hip-hop, and after going through the motions last year, he is back, with beats, lightning quick bars, and smart wordplay and lyrics that is for the most part, an entirely fresh and admittedly fire album from him.

    Em needed to bounce back after Revival and he did just that with Kamikaze. He comes out swinging with bars that remind me of vintage Shady. I've seen people saying that he came off as petty for taking shots at the younger generation but Em is at his best when he's **** on other people. Going forward I'd like to see more emphasis on the musicality but overall I was very pleased.

What I was most surprised about was that a couple of songs I listened to the first time didn´t really seem that good and didn´t click, but then as I listened again and focused on the message, wordplay etc then I really started to love all of them.     The tight focus here is the complete antithesis of Revival and there are a number of very solid tracks. 'Not Alike' is a vintage Em and Royce number. The lyrics are as intricate as ever but I like how unfussy this is as a package. If this album could be a stepping stone - Em clearing the air before moving on to a bigger, even better project - then it will all have been worth it.    … Expand

    Fans clamoring for the old Marshall Mathers should stream the old album or hell, rent it from the library or something. After being faced with nothing to prove as the highest-selling rapper of all-time, Eminem’s found another challenge in perfecting the new style he’s put on display.

    As sheer performance, Eminem's vocals remain a thing of wonder, which is why it's so dispiriting to hear him circling the drain, relying on old tricks instead of expanding his worldview. He has the musical skills to mature; he's just refusing to let himself act his age.
