"I hate everybody, because everybody hates me" the album. With a few standout tracks, Kamikaze isn't the worst album Eminem has released, but it is far from being one of the best.

Best track: Lucky You (feat. Joyner Lucas)
    Worst track: Normal
    Best feature: Joyner Lucas

Accept it. Eminem's still relevant. Probably more relevant than your favorite rapper. Don't cry. This album still a banger after almost 5 years and there's nothing you can do about it.

this album was super good. Eminem was pissed of from the ratings on revival so he just came at everyone and absolutely destroyed the whole industry.

This album is very good with lyrics and flows and does a good job at dissing disrespectful rappers of cliched and unskilled lyricism, but the lowlights are songs where Eminem is sour and bitter about what people though of his worst project, Revival. Still, the album has good disses and it is surprising the small time frame the album was made in.

Sure there are some good songs on this, but i think if 'Revival' wouldn't have had the negative reviews it had, we probably never heard this record right here. A mediocre album from Eminem. His rapping feels kind of stale by this point, and his references are getting a little dated. It's not bad, but definitely not his best. I liked the song Venom, even though that song got some backlash.

I came back to this album a second time, and while my first listen was trash, i think it was because i wanted it to be trash. I wanted Eminem to fail. But now i can deny his godlike rhyme schemes.

Kamikaze is a return to for from Eminem. After releasing the horrible 'Revival' in 2017, Eminem returns and hits back at critics with 'Fall, Lucky You' and goes after the **** new wave rappers which are somehow dominating the industry. Eminem with another classic.

Definitely not a Bad album, but nowhere near as good as many people make it out to be, most of these song are kind of average by Eminem standards, with only one song being amazing in my opinion, that being Lucky You. Not to mention it has Nice Guy and Kamikaze which are just bad songs, and you can't really argue otherwise.

Wow. This is one of Eminem’s worst projects to date. It’s awful. Awkward flows, terrible beats, I could on and on. But honestly this album doesn’t deserve any more of my attention, which is why this review ends here. 2/10. Definitely would not recommend.

Eminem fans will defend every new thing that he will drop no matter how bad it is, even the disaster that was "Revival" got defended by them. Not to say that Revival was well-recieved even by them. People look up to him for the music he used to make and now refuse to admit that he's changed for the worse, so they will take everything that is even slightly better than Revival. TheEminem fans will defend every new thing that he will drop no matter how bad it is, even the disaster that was "Revival" got defended by them. Not to say that Revival was well-recieved even by them. People look up to him for the music he used to make and now refuse to admit that he's changed for the worse, so they will take everything that is even slightly better than Revival. The production and writing on Kamikaze are the worst offenders, the production being a mix of his old things, synthy bass sounds, and trap drums and 808's. These all sound like they would make for a fresh take on the old Eminem, but the just add up to a big mess. The writing tries to come off as clever and smart but ends up making Eminem sound annoying and corny. Em centres the whole album about dissing people and the bad change that hip-hop has had in the last few years, giving the spotlight to rappers like Lil Pump and Lil yachty, and while I certainly do not like mumble rap, Eminem comes off as whiney and repetitive. In the mix of people he disses he throws in people who critiqued him in the past, and while the disses and mumble rappers, while repetitive, do have a point. On the other hand, disses on the artists that critiqued him like Tyler, the creator come off as lines he threw in because he didn't have enough people to actually diss. These disses are often pointless and overly aggressive for no reason. The vocals on Kamikaze are a mixed bag. While the flows Eminem presents are innovative and are the best part of the album, the grind in his voice and the aggressiveness of it are just annoying and overly-angry. But I do have to give it to him that He still definitely can rap very fast just like he is known to. Eminem has lost all of the things that people appreciated in him when he just got into the rap game, his cartoony sense of humour, his sharp writing, and the sense of atmosphere in his albums. Now his songs just forget to be songs and are just places for him to complain. Expand

2018 was Eminem's year in hip-hop history, and they're gonna write about it. He got a huge W. Actually he placed the L he got on Revival into everybody's mouth lol. Plus he won the beef with MGK and ended the year with an impressive freestyle, after doing amazing features that year too. The album will be remembered more a couple years later. There's a classic potential in it tbh. We'll see.

Kamikaze, kind of, lives up to its title as this album is an absolute surprise bombing by one of the best rappers of all time. After a solid album in Marshall Mathers LP 2, fans were ready for another with Revival. Sadly that album and it’s album rollout were easily the worst, of this decade, and of Marshall’s career and the worst of the year as well. However, just over 9 months laterKamikaze, kind of, lives up to its title as this album is an absolute surprise bombing by one of the best rappers of all time. After a solid album in Marshall Mathers LP 2, fans were ready for another with Revival. Sadly that album and it’s album rollout were easily the worst, of this decade, and of Marshall’s career and the worst of the year as well. However, just over 9 months later Eminem seems to have channeled his evil twin Slim Shady and asked him for advice because the sound of this album is very reminiscent of Eminem’s earlier moments of his career, yet done with inspiration and some of the style of today’s rap/trap movement. It is nowhere near a perfect project however, some awkward hooks and clunky sounds in the final three tracks can be a bit cringy and this album may have been better suited as a 10 track project. While, sort of but not totally, understandable why these tracks are included it’s not helping the albums cause. Lastly, most of the first 10 tracks on this project are pretty great, yet can be very subjective to the listener, while some lyrics sound cringy, for the most part they’re smart, goofy and very reminiscent of the earlier days of Slim Shady. While not an amazing project, Kamikaze definitely will stir some controversy and will surely be in many peoples favorite rap album year end lists, but it will also be in many people’s least favorites as well. Eminem isn’t for everyone and this project is a great example of that, but for those who have stuck with Marshall throughout the years this is a rewarding treat and one with plenty of tracks that will be in many peoples' playlists regardless of peoples opinion of the overall body of work. Not the best listen from front to back, or start to finish, but Eminem finally looks like he knows once again what makes rap music good again and how to create it, and will continue to keep this in mind going forward. Let's hope he remembers and keeps that in mind and doesn't forget that like he had on Release, a good amount of times during Recovery, and most recently of course, Revival. Expand

All these 10 are fake probably or just dumb kids, who love to listen to fast lyrics without knowing the meaning of them. Criticizing other rappers won't make you the best rapper alive, and all those critics are just out of context and free, you're just complaining about your "Revival failure". Not Alike 8/10 Royce delivers and Em perform really good as usual.
Kamikaze 7/10 it is a good track but isn't as good as the previous tracks.
Fall 8.5 really good beat with good lyrics but the isn't as good as previous tracks.
Nice Guy 2/10 the beat is horrible the lyrics aren't good and so are the flows and Jessie Reyez singing really sucks.
Good Guy 4/10 beat, lyrics, flows and singing are better from the previous track but not by much.
Venom 7/10 it is a fine track everything is fine the beat, flow and lyrics but it is not an interesting track.
overall 7.3 could have got an 8 but the last few tracks ruin.

Superb. We got the old Eminem back, major respect for this man and he should continue on making music like this.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Shady is back and with a vengeance. I feel like Em's music was missing something the past couple years. Not that his past couple albums have been bad, they just lacked that slim shady fire that I loved soo much from his first couple albums. He seems hungry again and out for blood. I love this album. I listen to it when I workout as it gets me pumped. I really like how lyrically talented Em is. His flow switches and word play are really impressive. I also love when he includes introspective and heartfelt tracks like stepping stone. I grew up listening to D12 so it was hard hearing Em say that the group is officially over but it was Closure for the fans. Anyways, if you haven't heard this album- I suggest you go get it cause Shady is back!!!! Expand

Throughout the entire album, Eminem comes across as bitter. He keeps taking shots at other rappers, claiming his better than them because of what they rap about vs what he does. If he keeps calling them out and being redundant, does that not make him as repetitive and as boring? He also insists throughout the record the Revival was good, which just becomes more and more annoying. KamikazeThroughout the entire album, Eminem comes across as bitter. All this album had to do to deliver was show us an energised Eminem hitting back after the flop that was Revival and it's a success on that front. Much of the criticism towards Kamikaze seems churlish to me when it succeeds at everything that it set out to achieve, further demonstrated by the subsequent 'Killshot' single. Much of the criticism towards Kamikaze seems churlish to me when it succeeds at everything that it set out to achieve, further demonstrated by the subsequent 'Killshot' single. Sure, his delivery still lacks the levity that defined his classic output and he's only rapping over trap beats cos that's the current trend but they already had to invent a new style of hip hop for this guy in the past and it would take an artistic masterstroke to do it again so late in his career.

The tight focus here is the complete antithesis of Revival and there are a number of very solid tracks. 'Not Alike' is a vintage Em and Royce number. The lyrics are as intricate as ever but I like how unfussy this is as a package. If this album could be a stepping stone - Em clearing the air before moving on to a bigger, even better project - then it will all have been worth it.

A much better effort than Revival. I believe he is starting to find the right direction again.

This album is so addictive I already played 50+ times. In my opinion it's his best since relapse (MMLP2 excluded).

I've never particularly been an Eminem fan beyond enjoying the odd track, but I very much liked this album and was compelled enough to purchase it (high praise, I don't remember the last full album I bought).
I appreciated the anger and aggression mixed with some great beats, in addition to the rapping and lyrical skills on display. In particular, I would say The Ringer, Lucky You, Not

Kamikaze is a great return to from from Eminem from Revival, was is arguably his worst album to date. Kamikaze features all of the ferocity of Eminem's previous albums along with trendier and up to date beats and flows.

Kamikaze finds Marshall Mathers revelling in his Slim Shady rabid underdog role, fulminating at critics, boggling at Lil Yachty, and sneering at the Migos flow on Not Alike. How riveting all this finger-wagging is probably depends upon your birth date.

Fans clamoring for the old Marshall Mathers should stream the old album or hell, rent it from the library or something. After being faced with nothing to prove as the highest-selling rapper of all-time, Eminem’s found another challenge in perfecting the new style he’s put on display.

As sheer performance, Eminem's vocals remain a thing of wonder, which is why it's so dispiriting to hear him circling the drain, relying on old tricks instead of expanding his worldview. He has the musical skills to mature; he's just refusing to let himself act his age.
