After releasing the best EP of 2017 with 'Form/a', Half Waif has dropped the long-awaited debut album 'Lavender'. Its an interesting take on dream pop, not yet fully realized, but swimming in potential.

Worthy of comparison to the late career stylings of Björk, Plunkett’s vocals often steal the limelight but, make no mistake, this album is considerably more than the sum of any individual part.

A scary, fucked up kind of beauty. Consider Lavender a salve. Or, at least, an honest, genuine listen.

Each track intimately explores questions both large and small about relationships, politics, nostalgia, and identity. Plunkett's transcendent writing is the needle that threads all of it together. Lyrically, she does some of her best work so far on Lavender.
