May 16, 2014He’s produced his finest work to date.
-
May 16, 2014Ishibashi follows suit with the meaty "Carry on Phenomenon," a lyrically impenetrable, impossibly catchy blast of ELO worship that, like all of the songs on the tightly packed rainbow canon that is Lighght, skillfully applies a dizzying array of bells and whistles to what is essentially a simple, relatable, and reliable pop melody.
-
May 16, 2014Lighght is easy to ingest and digest. Its flow is logical but flowery, gently cupping the listener for the mild drops and rises.
-
UncutMay 16, 2014Lighght is a giddy rush where the 38-year-old's innocent pursuits and guilty pleasures collide head on. [Jun 2014, p.79]
-

-
MojoMay 16, 2014Gentle, Andrew Bird-style ballads bump alongside histrionic prog pop and four-to-the-floor beats on Ritalin-phased second LP. [Jun 2014, p.98]
-
May 27, 2014While Lighght has its highlights, there is simply too much questionable fluff surrounding the good ideas.
