In her journey to rediscover her own strength Banoffee has created a remarkable pop opus unquestionably destined to empower the marginalised.

A celebration and a middle finger as Banoffee reclaims her strength across tracks driven by wonky pop sensibilities and a drop of infectious playfulness.

It's a promising debut that should appeal particularly to fans of its electro-pop-minded contributors.

On the closing title track, she attempts to wind her own emotional experiences together with her father’s. ... it introduces the album’s most interesting material right at the end. If she had threaded it more steadily throughout, the album would have been a more keen statement than the respectable pop offering that it is.

Look At Us Now Dad is at its best when it treads further into experimental territory. ... Unfortunately, it can be frustrating that this isn’t emphasised more fully or frequently but still gives a glimpse into where Banoffee could ultimately head.
