What makes for a happy life is this album’s implied question, and as well as all the necessaries about love, Honne offer up idiosyncratic takes on cars (the Peugeot 306, no less) and shrinks.

Love Me/Love Me Not is a conceptual step forward for Honne and a compact journey through the highs and lows of love, instantly relatable to anyone who's ever experienced such a human journey.

Honne’s crystalline, Mura Masa-esque beats will see them through--though only as easy-listening, nothing more.

Some may tire of Honne’s romantic lyricism, but it’s undeniably what they do best.

While I Got You's rock-solid funk shows they know how to work up a sweat, the emotional themes don't always connect with equal force, Hatcher sounding most impassioned on 306, an ode to his ageing Peugeot hatchback. [Sep 2018, p.114]
