Jan 21, 2013Free Energy don't break any new ground with their sophomore album, in fact they settle more comfortably than ever into their comfort zone of big, bright pop rock songs with shiny hooks. Other, more experimental and adventurous groups can take care of the envelope pushing. These rockers are perfectly content churning out music that aims to hit the sweet spot and succeeds magnificently.

MagnetFeb 11, 2013The album preserves--even perfects--the spirit of its delirious debut, while fashioning something even bigger: brighter, tighter, better, more. [No. 95, p.55]

Jan 22, 2013Free Energy know that what they're emulating is about bliss not meaning, and they're savvy enough to embrace pop simplicity without condescending to it.
