this is a hell of a lot more boring than any incarnation of blur. maybe his lyrics are witty, but this is really third-rate pop-punk. at this point, it seems like he's trying to replicate frank black's solo career, with each album sounding more and more like boring pub rock.

Throughout, Coxon's masterly musicianship and shameless enthusiasm for such modish fare pulses like an electric current. [Apr 2006, p.110]
