Coming from Dion, the album was obviously going to be good and it does. The problem is I don't feel like she's giving out anything special. The sound is a little bit too mainstream, even for an artist as mainstream as her. It's very entertaining, but I was expecting a climax (which I did not get). Still money well-spent though.

A current sound, dramatic and exciting, without a fuss, but great, maybe one of the best album since Dion's A New Day Has Come released in 2.002. The best in years!

She has succeeded at updating her sound without alienating her fan base or sounding forced. This something that many of her contemporaries have failed at.

More raw in sound than any of her previous released, "Loved Me Back To Life" soared, and it had so many empowering tracks on it, including "Breakaway" and "Incredible."

Celine is constantly reinventing her sound, that is really evident here, she decided to evolve and go for a more modern sound that is really consistent

I have to admit I'm a bit biased here because I love Celine, but this album has waayy too many covers.

Céline Dion's eleventh English-language album is a nice change of pace from the previous records she has released. 10/10, definetly one of the best albums of 2013! Celine has once again proven to the world that she is the best.

Yes, it is more of a pop album. You might think at first that there's nothing groundbreaking about it, but it's Céline we're talking about. Our girl hadn't made any pure pop songs since 2003 in One Heart.
Many people want Céline, the Ballad Queen. But Pop Céline can deliver too.
This album has many tracks that stand out in the pop music landscape, even nearly 8 years after their release.

This album has many tracks that stand out in the pop music landscape, even nearly 8 years after their release. Somebody Loves Somebody is definitely one of Céline's greatest creations. The production behind it is time reflective, as it is pop that in sophisticated fashion incorporates EDM elements into it. But it's not dated at all. I always think of how it could really be part of a James Bond or spy movie.
Other highlights include the more sultry and Céline-like experiences many people are now used to. Breakaway and Unfinished Songs carry with them that mature aura typical of adult contemporary, and still feature a lot of her signature vocal prowess.
It really shows Céline as being able and willing to adapt to the modern landscape. She's not afraid to lean more into pop and electronic sounds, and just embrace the trends of the time without letting herself fall free into them. Instead, Céline's direction bends the trends to her will.

The final product is something consistent and exciting, but it lacks the warmth and care of other Celine albums. Much to my disappointment, Celine continues to choose to back out of songwriting, even though the one song she wrote in the 90s showed plenty of promise.

She experiments at times with a more gravelly voice, suggesting a bid for more street appeal, but the overall effect is stiff and mechanical, minus the warmth for which she is known.

On this album she’s singing with more rhythm, if not more clarity, than usual.
