The trap fusions and the middle leg of Americana references are standard to Lana's music, but it's drawn out for way too long on this record.

I appreciate Lana for stepping out of her comfort zone and collaborating which makes a impact on the overall sound. The album features more of an optimistic tone but I'd definitely encourage her to step out of her box a little more on the new album to create more new and exciting sounds. She's has a slight issue with all of her songs sounding the same

I have never been a Lana fan. I mean there are some songs from her that I like, including a song on this record, the opener and lead off single Love, and albums like Born to Die and Ultraviolence I will admit grew on me a bit, but her music has been, with the few occasion of songs that I do like, shifting between boring and laughably pretencious. And while I'm not crazy for this record, II have never been a Lana fan. And while I'm not crazy for this record, I will admit I do see why people are calling this her best. The production, while not very interesting, does work in a bit of a relaxed and chill vibe (at least when it's not attempting to go into trap production like on Cochella and Summer Bummer), and Lana doesn't do that obnoxious baby girl voice like she used to, in fact I would say that this record is probably her best vocally and she does stick to her contralto range, but still a lot of the pitfalls of what I don't like about Lana's music. Namely music that has a boring and stiff composition and lyrics that try to be cool but are really just filled with cliches and often highlight **** relationships that Lana is too starry-eyed to just get out of. Still I do get where people are coming from, but yeah it's not for me :/

I forgot to mention that the 70 minute length does make it drag on a bit and the first half is not very good compared to the last half

For Sure Lana's Best Album by far. The heavy melodies mixed with a chill down acoustic part are heavenly . In tracks like "Coachella" or "When The World Was At War We Kept Dancing" we see lyrics talking about having hope for the future , something that was very rare to find in past lana lyric's.Lana is going back to her born to die roots making Lust For Life a grammy-must

It would be a great album if she kept going like the first 2 tracks. Unfortunately, when track 3 arrives, a mix of her 3 previous albums starts do play. In the midst of an attempt to create gracious, flowing, and nourishing music, there was always a repulsive and insulting four-chord progression that strangled the listener, and pairing that with uninteresting synthesizers, a simple drum machine, and rudimentary string parts capped off a failure to match abstract ideas with quality creation. My Score: 86/180 (Deficient) = 4.8/10

Esse álbum é igual ao honeymoon, as músicas são todas parecidas e muito grandes. Mas tem músicas boas como 13 beaches, Love e Lust for life e Tomorrow never came

Kicking off the album with "Love" and "Lust For Life" made a definite impression and were fantastic tracks to start the album off with. To be completely honest, I kind of lost Lana after this. I'm sure Lana fans love this record, but for a non-devoted Lana follower, she didn't make a fan out of me from this album. Despite this, there were a few tracks that I truly did enjoy.

Best Tracks: Love, Lust For Life, Groupie Love, Beautiful People Beautiful Problems, Tomorrow Never Came

This is an overrated album which does better in the concepts. It is true that American need an album to call on "lust for life" in this desperated world. But it is also true that the songs in the last half record are totally not out-standing as much as the lead single"love".The lyrics are boring and full of windy slogans.

I'm not a Lana fan but this album was quite good, the song coachella was awful but the rest was okay, I hope she continues improving her music.

Anyway, is a good album, is enjoyable and had good production. But also It's not good as Honeymoon.

Lana del Rey continues to do more of the same, perhaps in this album introduced rap and trap, but I don't see any musical evolution or take a risk in its sound, rescue "Groupie Love."

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Switching to a happier life with living colors rather than dwelling from the black and white dramatic Honeymoon, Lust for Life still suffers from similer issues. It’s, again, rather empty despite a promising concept. The songs are stretched out, focusing more on the theatrics rather than the effects on the listeners with little-to-no results. Lana isn’t at her worst, with a few tracks (Love, Lust for Life, Summer Bummer, Get Free) worth the effort, but it’s far from a good work. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. For a 16-track album, Lust for Life can drag out that little too much with songs that are on for too long and songs with such long titles, that it's work to even name your favourite song. Bloated and dull at times, Lana Del Rey manages to make some songs standout, while some barely come into mind when you're asked about a specific song. Imagine you get asked what "White Mustang" is, you know instantly because of the lyrics and its rhythm and deepness. However, imagine if you are asked about "Heroin", you'd probably be like, "well it's the closing track", and that's all you say. Get what I mean? Expand

That's the album that made me stop listening Lana for a few years. The lyrics are full of clichés she already explored to the maximum and the production is really boring and repetitive. Her low point here.

Probably her worst album. I dont hate it, i just wouldnt lisent to this again. It feels so much like if she mixed 200 styles put it in a randomized blender and put it out. I like some songs but most of the songs just feel not right.

The optimism of Lust For Life is a pleasant surprise, though the album is still painted in the same shades as Del Rey’s previous releases. At times it’s some of her best material, but it seems like a record best experienced in pieces than as a proper whole.

While Del Rey’s voice remains firmly at the forefront, the spare arrangements encourage listeners to fill in their own emotional blanks for once.

Throughout this accomplished, assured new record, Lana manages to repeatedly freeze time and capture those fleeting cinematic moments that make us who we are, while reminding us of who we could be.
