Everything resonates crystal clear, and I suggest you pick it up for the holiday season. Surely, someone can appreciate its beauty.

The bulk of Made in Germany is undoubtedly still an acquired taste, but as an overview of the country's biggest rock export, it's a fairly representative collection and showcases them at their best.

Made in Germany 1995-2011 should be taken at face value, in that; it does a respectable job at celebrating the major hits that have formed the basis of band's success since 1995.

The first battle cry on this best-of won't prepare non-Rammsteinians for the cabaret bombast that follows.

Rammstein while not creating the genre Neue Deutsche Härte (New German Hardness) made it popular in Germany and around the world. They are famous for their unique style, incredible intense stage shows / live performances, starting some controversies, good references in their songs and triggering the persons of authorities to get free advertisement (They perfected it with the song Deutschland but I must admit they walk on a small line). They also made really good music videos. I think I don't need to say much about the songs in a best of compilation. Everything is really good or at least real successful (You get what you expect). My favorites are Engel, Ich will, Haifisch, Amerika and Sonne. I should also talk about the 3 versions of the album. The Standard Edition is what the name says just the compilation. For the Special Edition it includes an additional remix album with quite a few big names (For example Faith No More, WestBam, Pet Shop Boys and Hurts). The Super Deluxe Edition which I sadly don't own has all music videos, a ton of making of and a photo album on 3 DVDs. This is a worthy compilation that you should own if you like this kind of music. While i dont understand the Du Hast fandom i cant deny that this is an excellent album. Presentation and mood is clear and distinct. TheWhile i dont understand the Du Hast fandom i cant deny that this is an excellent album. Presentation and mood is clear and distinct. The Rammstein electro rock sound has never sounded better and the emotions the album produces are real. Every song feels unique and deserves a second listen. It seems like you cant go wrong with this album. Expand

Rammstein. What can one say? They're German-based metal with electronic nuance throughout all their albums. Featuring lots of productionRammstein. What can one say? They're German-based metal with electronic nuance throughout all their albums. Featuring lots of production work and quite a bit of processing to get everything just the way they wanted it, Rammstein's discography is a bit of an enigma. They're massively popular, but and acquired taste at the same time. I guess you could say they're the wine that every conniseur loves. Made In Germany is a good collection of hits and must-have tracks that tell the tale of how this band became popular. The mega hit "Du Hast" started their rise to fame, and cuts like "Ich Will" and "Sonne" kept them big into the Y2K era. Sadly, this collection focuses almost exclusively on everything prior to 2009's "Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da", which I consider to be their most complete and freshening work to date. The only cut from that album comes in the form of a remix in "Ich Tu Dir Weh (Fukkk Offf Remix)" (yes that's the name of the remix). So consider this more of a pre-2009 feature-set. There's plenty worth a purchase here, especially if you've never really delved into the Rammstein scene much before. My personal favorites are "Sonne", "Ich Will", "Mein Teil", and "Keine Lust", all of which came between 2001-2004. True fans and interested newcomers can get a good idea of where the band started and how they came to be where they are in recent years through this collection. I suggest looking into "Liebe" though, as it's everything awesome about Rammstein refined. Expand
