  1. One of the best New Order albums they never made.
  2. A truly lovely thing to behold; a pretence-free, summery shimmy through pop's enchanted garden, with tear-tugging Bacharachy bits and choruses of angels and everything.
  3. All the best songs here seem to launch from the point at which Technique left off; they have the same bounce, the same speed and many of the same hooks (especially in "Bert's Theme", "Kashmere" and "I've Got a Feeling") as that Hook-dominated New Order record.

The synth-laden tunes are relentlessly upbeat--sort of New Order on Prozac--with a Lightning Seeds blitheness.... Though no groundbreaker, 'Monaco' is catchy as flu.

Truely better than the first Monaco release. It has that old New Order feel to it that New Order seemed to get away from. If you liked Truely better than the first Monaco release. It has that old New Order feel to it that New Order seemed to get away from. If you liked Electronic you will like this. It does not sound like Peter's old band Revenge. I played this disc repeatedly on long car trips. Full Review »
