PUP continues their seemingly unending hot-streak with a slightly more abrasive brand of pop punk on their new album "Morbid Stuff". The self-pity of PUP's last release has melted into flat-out anger and now their gloves are off.

As angry as PUP's music can be, there's an absolute thrill to every album that constantly reaffirms my love of music in general. This album is no exception, it is modern punk at its absolute pinnacle.

I can’t believe how catchy and energetic this album is. Remarkable! So angry yet PUP clearly put a whole lot of thought into it. Most songs are perfect.

PUP has gone from a scrappy Toronto punk outfit to one of the biggest names in the game. They've matured from playing to empty bars or 8 people at a late afternoon Warped Tour set, but their energy and spirit hasn't left their DIY home. Incredible to see them develop without losing themselves. The Album of the Year came out in April.

PUP continues to grow and flourish as a punk band with easily their best album yet. Not only are the hooks catchier, but the lyrics are also leaps and bounds above their previous works. I loved it from the start and it only got better with each re-listen.

**** awesome album. Catchy as hell. The track Sibling Rivalry is incredible, one of the best songs I've ever heard.

One of the best pop punk albums I've heard in a long time! Ever since they came out with The Dream Is Over, I felt that PUP had the potential to put out something really great. On Morbid Stuff, they definitely live up to that potential. From the energetic riff on "Kids" to the catchy chorus on "Sibling Rivalry," this album is full of polished, well written songs. From the energetic riff on "Kids" to the catchy chorus on "Sibling Rivalry," this album is full of polished, well written songs. PUP has definitely grown as a band, as can be noted by the song structure of "Scorpion Hill," which I thoroughly enjoy. In addition, Stefan Babcock's vocals are really on point and add that extra bit of authenticity to each track.

I see this as PUP's best album as of yet, and with each listen I find more and more to like about it. Definitely will end up being one of my favorite albums of the year. If you are a fan of the genre, Morbid Stuff is an essential listen. Looking forward to what they put out next!

Without doubt, one of the finest records of the year so far and—more importantly—an unflinching portrayal of what it means (and what it takes) to be human in this day and age.

PUP feel stretched and loose on Morbid Stuff. As rambunctious as the songs can be, that wouldn’t be achieved without the seriousness that they approach their art.

Morbid Thoughts is an inspired, catchy punk album, full of punchy, soon-to-be anthems that will please old fans and hook newer ones. However, it is also something else. A brave acknowledgment that life isn't easy and sometimes the worst enemy is that inner voice, hell-bent on beating you down at every turn.
