    Otra obra de arte de la Rosalía. Aunque seguro choca mucho con el imagen que tienen los españoles de nuestro estrella flamenca catalana, el disco es muy especial y una mezcla de estilos distintos y interesantes.

    I don't understand how this generic pop album gets so much good reviews and even makes it as #2 on albums of the year. I'm completely baffled. There are maybe 2-3 good songs on it, but it sure doesn't merit #2...

    I was on a reddit thread for this album reading about ot before it dropped in my timezone where I read someone liken MOTOMAMI to Yezus which I couldn't fathom then but now wholly agree with. Rosliá return is a fantastic hard edged pop ride. It's a departure from her breakthrough flamenco sound but it's a welcomed evolution. Every song here is above really good(including hentai which i love) and it's a constant thrill to hear her innovate with such a familiarity . The breathtaking Pharrell laden title track is a short sultry mantra whilst my second favorite track "cute" is a weird arca inspired celebration. It's difficult to pin down exactly what makes this album so powerful but what i have no difficultly knowing is that it will stay in the public conscious for a long long time… Expand

    I don't understand how professional critics can praise an album where they don't understand what is being sung. The musical evolution is not only the rhythms but also the clear vocalization of what is being sung, in order to find meaning in the songs.

    The most impressive part of this album is how experimental it is and how great the production is. However the lyricism of the album falls flat for me, a lot of the lyrics being blatantly corny. The production is impressive but for some reason still over half of the tracks still end up non enjoyable for me.

    I know this album is supposed to be different,indie,but at some songs it sounds too bad. Rosalia has one of the greatest voices of all time,but this album shows that a cat falling over the stairs can also be music. Not recommended

    Muchos temían que el álbum no estuviese a la altura de "El mal querer" y yo en parte también tenía algo de intriga, incluso al principio estaba un poco descolocada dadas las canciones que estaba sacando pero, como siempre, la rosalia nos dio a todos un puntito en la boca. Personalmente creo que es una puñetera obra de arte. Al principio parecían canciones que nada que ver las unas con lasMuchos temían que el álbum no estuviese a la altura de "El mal querer" y yo en parte también tenía algo de intriga, incluso al principio estaba un poco descolocada dadas las canciones que estaba sacando pero, como siempre, la rosalia nos dio a todos un puntito en la boca.     Absurdly overrated, I understand that there is musical evolution, but incoherent lyrics lead nowhere. For the first time I do not agree with the praise of professional critics. In the end, it's just my opinion.

Apart from that, the lyrical base sucks in every single way. it's not understandable even being a Spanish native. Rosalia just recorded the first ideas she had with no coherence. So, it's acceptable if lyrics are the least of yourMotomami is maybe an over hyped album.     Some hits but a lot of misses. Sometimes over production and bad usage of auto tune turned an ok song into a bad one. I recognize the experimentation, just not my liking

All of the compliments for the album just say things like ''this is experimental and pop in balance'', but that argument is not enough to put an album in the first place. Every time I listen to this record I am floored by the freshness of the sound, the composition, the ability to include so many samples but making them sound new and original.     I had never listened to a Latin or Spanish album in my life. Went into it blind. What a mind-blowing listen. At it's core it's a pop album, songs like Chicken Teriyaki, Bizcochito and others. But its experimental, its random. All sorts of sounds and vocals coming at the listener. The drums on here are special, or should I say the percussion. The sound of her hands clapping, snapping ofI had never listened to a Latin or Spanish album in my life. Went into it blind. What a mind-blowing listen. At it's core it's a pop album, songs like Chicken Teriyaki, Bizcochito and others. But its experimental, its random. All sorts of sounds and vocals coming at the listener. The drums on here are special, or should I say the percussion. The sound of her hands clapping, snapping of fingers, using vocals as a drum pattern, the production on the album is amazing.

    I do not speak Spanish so I generally have no clue what she's saying although I can make out some words and themes. That's what makes the album so powerful. It makes me feel without any of the words cutting through. Her vocals go from a beautiful falsetto to autotune depending on the song or how she feels.

    I've been feeling lukewarm about so many albums recently. This one is a game changer. Album of 2022, album of the decade so far    … Expand

But was happily surprised the first track got me engaged. Finally some fresh reggaeton. First half of the album contains some stinkers. CHICKEN TERIYAKI sounds like your average uninspired reggaeton track. The Weekend's verse on LAWhen the album started with a reggaeton beat I got a little scared.     I have bever seen a concept like this. This is really what we sould call contemporary music. Minimalism. Its the way she produced and created all these different songs with the minimal instruments and alterations. The way she still makes us feel all the emotions through listening is to me mind blowing

    Simplemente increíble, cada canción es distinta a otra, una variedad de sonidos y sentimientos, te pone a llorar y a bailar. Todo con el toque de está gran mujer. Los vocals ufff. Dense la oportunidad porque en lo personal este es uno de los mejores álbumes que he escuchado.

    Did not expect this hit in my ears. Body moves on it's own. An album full of groove, passion, inner peace of mind, traditional voice skills and explicit rap.

    Me parece la mejor artista del momento de habla hispana, nadie hace música como ella, el nivel de producción es increíble, canciones como SAKURA hace que se te pongan los pelos de escarpia. El mejor álbum en español de la historia, 10/10.
