  1. Perhaps as a direct result of I-Sound's presence, Music is a Hungry Ghost is a looser, more abstract affair than previous efforts.
  2. Alternative Press
    80
To Rococo Rot don't need more bounce in their already metronomic step, so I-Sound shows the group on this collaboration how to add a bit of swagger. [#155, p.86]
  3. Not content to rely on the same old drum machine patterns and tired beats, TRR and I-Sound have concocted a vast sonic brew that blends elements of hip-hop, jazz and techno into a seriously stinging cocktail.
  4. "Ghost" marks the welcome debut of a more body-oriented brand of user-friendly experimentation - crisp and cool, yet dionysian at the same time.
  5. 70
Their most mature record to date.
  6. Mixer

    A pretty solid IDM-goes-funky effort. [May 2001, p.78]
  7. The Wire
    50
Sadly much of Music Is A Hungry Ghost is marred by a pebbledash of clicks and glitches -- that already overused signifier of au courant production. [#207, p.87]

Perfect music. Great album. Instrumental. If you are a fan of Mouse On Mars or Microstoria, you'll probably like it.

Soothing yet abstract. A can't miss for down tempo/ ambient music fans. Just have an open mind, and you will truly enjoy this album.
