    Sonically and lyrically, a jaw-dropping performance from Kanye and his team of artists and producers. West seems to have a 3rd eye in this album for feature choice. The grandiose choirs and samples all working in unison to push the message of racism, self improvement, and unrelenting yet justified arrogance, make for one of the greatest pieces of musical work this decade has ever seen. The sheer amount of thought and effort seemingly put into every track, and the hard hitting, thought provoking, witty, and humorous lyrics that can be found within them justifies the critical acclaim. In my opinion, this album alone has cemented Kanye as the greatest rapper alive, maybe even of all time. 10/10

    No doubt, this is Kanye's best album and overall one of the best of the past decade. The production is just sensational, some of the most creative sounds i have ever heard, always changing, never stale. The lyricism is also fantastic, thoughtful and, most importantly, Kanye doesn't repeat the same argouments over and over again. The features are accurate, i loved Kid Cudi, Pusha andNo doubt, this is Kanye's best album and overall one of the best of the past decade. The production is just sensational, some of the most creative sounds i have ever heard, always changing, never stale. The lyricism is also fantastic, thoughtful and, most importantly, Kanye doesn't repeat the same argouments over and over again. The features are accurate, i loved Kid Cudi, Pusha and everyone who was on Monster (yes, even Nicki Minaj, who i really dislike, but had the second best feat on this song). The songs come together like puzzle pieces, crafted almost in a perfect way by Ye.
    This album is just a musical genius, it raised the bar for every rap album, the amount of effort put into this project is massive.
    A creative masterpiece, which redefined Kanye's music and persona into one of the best, if not the best, rap artist of all time.

    This album is a masterpiece and paved the way for a lot of the newer coming artists in the music industry. There is not a single skip on this album! Kanye really took his time w/ this project and perfected it. Definitely one of his best projects!! Everyone should definitely take the time to listen to this album!!!

    Good production, catchy beats. But too much inappropriate contents and lyrics. I listened to all of this album but I still don't know the message or what it talks about. I like "Power" and "All of the Lights" because these songs are very fierce and catchy. But the remaining tracklist... meh. Each track feels and resonates of Kanye’s soul, pulling you deeper into the imperfections of himself and the beauty of his inner conscious.     An amazing album. It's so lush, dense, and beautiful. The album is a representation of maximalist Hip-Hop at its peak. With a mixture of strings, layered vocals, synthesizers, samples, and big hard-hitting drums, the album is almost cinematic. Not one song on here is a miss.

Brilliant features from Kid Cudi and Raekwon as well as Kanye having some top bars ("Whats a Black Beatle anyway, a f*cking roach"). Then comes Power, a brilliant well produced song with so much energy. All of the Lights features incredible Rihana vocals and intimidating energy from Kanye who makes the beat his own. All I have to say about Monster is Nicki Minaj: enough said. So appalled is a slightly weaker track however this track is better than a lot of rappers best songs and it features the first of Pusha T's iconic features.Then Kanye is back to his best on Devil in a new Dress and this might be the best Rick Ross Verse ever made- and probably to ever exist. Runaway is a sombre track where Kanye reflects on his failed relationships. Excellent production and an excellent Pusha T feature. The final 3 tracks are not as good as the rest of the album but they all remain solid tracks. There is nothing bad to be said about this album. 10/10.A Masterpiece.… Expand

This record is beyond just hip-hop or rap, it has so many influences from other genres like classical music. Lyrics are somewhere really great and deep, but they are not the primary aspect of the record, production is.     Impeccable album with very little flaws if any, the intro song is amazing and has some all time classics. There isn't a single bad song on the album and none are skips. Even lower songs like HOAL and Blame Game are still incredible and replayable. Very easily Kanye’s best album.

    This album has some of the most grand, luscious, and expensive production I have ever heard on an album. Throughout a well composed set of instrumentals, Kanye gives us some of his insights, lavish lifestyle, and personal struggles. My favorite tracks are Devil in a New Dress, Runaway, POWER, Dark Fantasy, and Gorgeous.

    Now, I don't think this is a flawless Masterpiece and concider it to be one of Kanye's weaker projects, but it is still an incredible album. Kanye is such an artist, that even his weaker albums are 8/10s. I can completely see why people love it to death.

I do believe it's super important to hip hop and showed that Kanye is a staple of the music industry but Hell Of A Life, Lost In The World, Who Will Survive In America, they really feel boring to me personally and I've skipped them when listening to this album. I do believe it's super important to hip hop and showed that Kanye is a staple of the music industry but Hell Of A Life, Lost In The World, Who Will Survive In America, they really feel boring to me personally and I've skipped them when listening to this album. I liked 8/13 of the tracks on here whereas other albums Kanye has released such as The College Dropout, Ye, Graduation, Late Registration, I end up loving the whole album. Still, a very influential album, I can understand the love for it, and also i absolutely loved Dark Fantasy, Devil In A New Dress, Monster, POWER.… Expand

    This album is almost incredible. Rick Ross's verse on Devil In A New Dress is the hardest guest verse ever recorded in hip-hop. Nicki Minaj's verse on Monster is 2nd. POWER is one of my favourite hip-hop songs of all time. But for some reason, songs such as Gorgeous and So Appalled don't connect with my soul as much as they seem to for other people.     Wow. Just wow. A beautiful piece of work following all of his controversy, and I truly cannot see this album being anything below a 10. This album has some of the highest highs I've ever seen, and the lows of the album are amazing tracks as well. Runaway is one of my favorites on the album, and it really shows how much of a creative genius Kanye is as he puts his thoughts and mindset onWow. Just wow. A beautiful piece of work following all of his controversy, and I truly cannot see this album being anything below a 10. This album has some of the highest highs I've ever seen, and the lows of the album are amazing tracks as well. Runaway is one of my favorites on the album, and it really shows how much of a creative genius Kanye is as he puts his thoughts and mindset on display on this 9 minute song. Each song tells it's own story, from the racial inequality on gorgeous, to the struggles of being in the public eye on All of the lights. Devil in a new dress also drops one of the greatest rap verses I have ever seen, with Rick Ross. With all of it's amazing wordplay ("The plan was, to drink until the pains over, but what's worse? The pain or the hangover?"- Dark Fantasy) or (Face it, Jerome get more time than Brandon",) and all of the amazing features, this album is truly the magnum opus of rap. 10/10 easily no question in my mind.… Expand

    The context in which this album was made makes you understand and feel what Kanye tries to express in My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, with a perfect use of samples and great features, Kanye makes one of the best redemptions ever

The best album I've ever heard, the Lost In The World music video is definitely the highlight, it has references to Satan, and both the opposition of words in the lyrics with the mirror that shows two opposite sides allude to the “As above, so below; as below, so above” quote, it throws explicit satanic messages at your face and looks like a representation of hell at the same time, and All of the Lights imagery was heavy influenced by the Gaspar Noé "Enter The Void" movie, the whole album it's just so satisfying to watch and we'll executed, it's a masterpiece… Expand

    2nd best Kanye album and as many calls his "magnum opus" with it being a big step up from an already great previous album and is probably the best comeback story in hip hop history with many classic 10/10 tracks like dark fantasy, gorgeous, power, all of the lights, monster, runaway, lost in the world & devil in a new dress

Love this record and it´s starts so strong, Dark Fantasy being the best Kanye intro to any album, Gorgeous guitar riff and Kid Cudi´s hooks, POWER being just a classic and Runaway being one of Kanye´s best songs. But most of the second half I don't find it that much appealing to me. I don't like So Appalled and I hate Hell Of A Life. The outro with Bon Iver with Lost In The World and Who Will Survive In America are not that bad in my opinion, actually i enjoyed those songs matching together at the very end. I like this album and it was a pivital point in Kanye´s carrer, for what happened with Taylor Swift and him exiling to Hawaii. I don´t think it's MAGNUM OPUS, like some ppl call it but I can respect that opinion.… Expand
