    EASILY the best hip hop album of the 2010’s. I’ve never heard another album like this, it’s so different and amazing.

    This album is a classic! From the instrumentals to the verses and even the features themselves, this album will definitely stand the test of time and is, in my opinion, one of the greatest(and most important) albums to ever come out.

    In one of the few perfect 10s of this decade, Kanye West seemingly hits everything musically on MBDTF. The production, features, lyricism, and beats make for a beautiful and conflicting listening experience. Arguably the most complete musical album of the 10s’, definitely deserves and will receive listens for years to come.

    Fabulous. The best rap/ hip-hop album of de last decade. Kanye mixed everything that doesn't had nothing with hip-hop and turned into it.

    Probably the best Kanye's album, the one that he worked the hardest on, the best thing about it is, even if you didn't like some song on it (somehow) you will still remember it. Ungodly production.

    I agree that this is the greatest album of the 2010s, but there are better album than this I would listen too tbh. The first time I listen to this, I thought this is one of Kanye west's best album and best hip-hop album of all time, but later on, there are like 3 tracks that i thought it was meh after listening to it a lot, the rest of the tracklist I like.

    I'm not a huge fan of hip-hop but this album is an exception. It's clearly flawlessly arranged, the lyrics brilliantly showcase emotions of the artist and, in my experience, this is his best work and the best of what the genre can offer.

    Kanye just shows his brilliance over and over again. Recovering from the loss of his mother and being socially outcasted, he releases this masterpiece of an album to prove he is one of the greatest artists of all time.

    Perfect from front to back. Kanye West is the greatest modern composer. From every individual little sample and drum to the features, it’s all put together perfectly. Kanye said it himself, “I know how to make perfect (with MBDTF)”. And he is absolutely right.

    The magnum opus of my favorite artist to ever live. MBDTF is an unreal album. It is incredibly layered and meticulous, in depth with a subtle and poignant concept. The song structures, the samples, eclectic music, the incredible displays of lyricism all make this undoubtedly one of music's most iconic and unforgettable records.

    Kiedy w końcu pojawił się długo wyczekiwany album... jaki to był wstrząs. MBDTF to nie kolejna odsłona rapowej gry Kanye Westa, to nie kolejny "wielki" hip hopowy album. Chociaż słowa, które chcę napisać mogą zabrzmieć jak fanboystwo, mogą wzmóc czujność u niektórych i tak to napiszę - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy to TEN album. Album do którego zmierzał cały gatunek i wszystkie eksperymenty Ye, jednymi słowy najlepsze, najważniejsze hip hopowe dzieło jakie powstało. Pierwsze dwa albumy Kanye Westa wyniosły hip hop z ulic na salony, piąty album Kanye Westa nadał hip hopowi rangę najprawdziwszej sztuki.

    Album łączy w sobie wszystkie dotychczasowe osiągnięcia Westa, wszystkie mocne strony poprzednich albumów, od figlarności TCD, głębi LR, przystępności Graduation, emocjonalności i eksperymentalnego podejścia 808s.

    Liryczne Kanye West stworzył dzieło bardzo kontemplacyjne, głębokie i intymne. Występuje tu jako filozof i błazen zarazem, mówi o rzeczach wzniosłych, jednocześnie bywając do bólu obsceniczny. Porusza tematy upajania się hedonizmem, bogactwem i władzą jaką ze sobą niosą, a zarazem zagubienia i emocjonalnego wypalenia. Spanie z setkami kobiet, uczucie tęsknoty i wyrzutów sumienia wobec tej jednej, bycie jednocześnie superbohaterem i łajdakiem.

    Niezwykle pomysłowe beaty/sample, gitary w gorgeous, 21st century schizoid man w Power, niezwykły beat w Devil in a New Dress, Runaway z aranżacją na pianinie i kodą z przesterowanymi wokalami, które upodabniają je do brzmienia gitar był w stanie stworzyć tylko Ye, a to tylko część niezwykle barwnego mikroświata jakim samo w sobie jest MBDTF, popowy odpowiednik kaplicy sykstyńskiej.    … Expand

    MBDTF is an album where Kanye's reinvention is phenomenal, and the break he took in Hawaii is that of almost miracles. This album captivates hip hop and music for all of its great elements, classical, modern and contemporary. The only issues are slight shortcomings on the last 4 tracks of the album. However the songs from dark fantasy through Runaway there is not a single fault to point out.

    jesus **** christ. sometimes im not in the mood for runaway because im not in the mood to cry. power is poetry, devil in a new dress is my favorite kanye song, and lost in the world is the best song for some moods. you heard that penentury chances bar, it made me get an erection that i had to get drained by medical professionals.

Favourite tracks: Dark Fantasy, Gorgeous, Power, All of the Lights, Monster, So Appalled, Devil in a New Dress, Runaway, Blame Game, Lost in the World. Least favourite    Top 5 (hip hop) albums of all time. Period.

Kanye came back from some hardships to set the tone for the genre with 808's and Heartbreak, and then he does it again with MBDTF. MBDTF is easily one of the most influential albums in hip hop, followed by many artists trying to replicate the sound West createsEverything you could want in an album. Kanye's magnum opus.     From the goosebump-inducing perfect intro track that is Dark Fantasy to the epic two-part outro that is Lost In the World and Who Will Survive In America (based on a sample from Gil Scott-Heron's "Comment No.1"), this album is almost flawless. Gorgeous might be the best rapping performance of Kanye's career as well as arguably his best lyrics. Power is the perfect hype song. All Of theFrom the goosebump-inducing perfect intro track that is Dark Fantasy to the epic two-part outro that is Lost In the World and Who Will Survive In America (based on a sample from Gil Scott-Heron's "Comment No.1"), this album is almost flawless. Gorgeous might be the best rapping performance of Kanye's career as well as arguably his best lyrics. Power is the perfect hype song. All Of the Lights is almost a mini "We Are the World" considering how many artists make their appearance on the song (Elton John, Rihanna, Drake, Fergie, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Kid Cudi and even more!). The track Monster features a strong performance by Kanye and a decent one by Jay Z, but it is Nicki Minaj who kills it on this track spitting the arguably best verse of her entire career. So Appalled does also feature quite a few names but is easily one of the weaker cuts (not that there are any WEAK tracks on this masterpiece) on the album. It simply drags on a bit too long. Pusha T delivers a fantastic verse as usual though. Devil In A New Dress is built on a haunting Smokey Robinson sample and once again features a strong verse by Kanye but it is the fantastic verse by Rick Ross that make the song. Runaway, which happens to be my favorite song of all time, is pretty much the perfect song in my opinion. Kanye's vulnerable vocals and lyrics, Pusha T's verse, the lengthy outro of distorted vocals. The piano, oh god the piano. The album is already an incredible work of art before Runaway but Runaway gives it that extra boost which makes it one of the greatest albums ever made in my honest opinion. Hell Of A Life works great at a workout track but feels almost unfinished. It's still a good track nonetheless but the production work, as well as the lyrics, don't match the calibre the rest of this album has to offer. Blame Game features Kanye in a vulnerable state once again and although the Chris Rock outro might get tiresome after the 100th listen, it was still a great idea to add him to the track. I just wish his part was a skit after the song, which I think would have given the track a better replay value. Lost In the World / Who Will Survive In America rightfully serves as a perfect closure to an almost perfect album. Superb production, fantastic features, and great lyricism. The whole album features a unique and beautifully epic atmosphere that sticks with you throughout the whole album. Few albums can make me feel like I'm in another dimension, but this is surely one of those few. But then again, this is just my opinion.

    My Rating: 10/10
