    There are a lot of great tracks on here, "Monster", "Devil in a New Dress" and "Lost in the World" are the best tracks. I could see this years from now still being a good listen but it's not perfect. Tracks "Blame Game" and "Power" are incredibly listenable but are definitely the weakest tracks.

    Feels a little overrated, a litte overambitous, but overall probably his best work. Kanye is a very talented artist and all his talents shin on this album. It took me a couple of listens before I got hooked.

    One of my favourite albums of all time, Kanye West will never cease to rid us of his creative genius. Like his previous albums he's used samples brilliantly and tastefully on almost every track on the album, but does it in a way that it's not blatantly apparent to the listener but still pays homage to the original. Not a song to be skipped on this album purely due to the fact that West has mastered each track to it's peak of perfection. My personal favourites are 'Dark Fantasy' due to it's ostentatious yet elegant nature and to how well it sets the general tone of the album, 'Power' due to how efficaciously it lives up to it's title, 'All of the Lights' because of how well it was put together, 'Monster' for making me feel guilty yet humoured and amazed when listening to it, 'Runaway' for showing us how effective simplicity is (with a few drops of genius) and 'Lost in the World' because not everyone can turn a slow and calming Indie sample into an upbeat and hard hitting piece that ends an opus with a BANG.     A veritable explosion of creativity--maybe too much creativity (some songs run too long/seem overwrought & over-saturated). The best album of 2010 nonetheless.

    "Graduation" has more of my favourite Kanye songs, but as an album, this here is probably his finest hour. It has some standout tracks but works best as an album with the collective parts coming together perfectly. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is not only bursting with creativity but with epic tunes and melodies as well. Lyrically, Kanye is on top form and matches the quality of the"Graduation" has more of my favourite Kanye songs, but as an album, this here is probably his finest hour. It has some standout tracks but works best as an album with the collective parts coming together perfectly.     This album makes my relize that Yeezy will never make a classics like Late Registration or College Dropout but pretty dam good albums like graduation was. This album is more like a peice of art so it's hard to pick out weak and strong tracks. It's a solid listen but some of the tracks just don't glisten like that others. Some of the tracks from Friday (Chain Heavy, Don't Stop (The seconed Child rebel soldier (Lupe, Pharell and Kanye) song), Christmas In Harlem, Lord Lord Lord) SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE ALBUM. The Joy, another great Friday track was realesd as a bonus track many months after November 22nd. But MBDTF is still a strong album some of my top picks are (Devil in a new dress, Power, Monster, See Me Now, and Gorgeus). So go pick this up if you havn't heard it, it's very inspiring and shows a new Kanye West… Expand

    I'm a huge kanye west fan, but this album does not deserve anything above an 8. Yes it has brilliant beats, fantastic features from the likes of Rick Ross and even the unexpected bon iver. But a classic implies that every single song was perfect, you can't honestly tell me that songs like hell of a life are perfect. You can't give me a reason why "who will survive in america" is good orI'm a huge kanye west fan, but this album does not deserve anything above an 8.     MBDTF is just a dynamite album from start to finish. Typical ridiculous raps by Kanye sprinkled in with political points and whatever else is going on in Yeezy's head. Beats are phenomenal, and lots of great samples. **** Yeezy yeezy yeezy, it's yo boy Mark and this is a fire album.

    Not over-rated at all and deserving its recognition as one of the best mainstream hip-hop releases of the decade. My Beautiful... is complex, satisfying and overcooked in every possible way but its a natural progression to Kanye's swaggery and boastfulness in lyrical content to what essentially is one of the most epic releases of our generation while expanding the genre boundaries.

    Kanye is a musical genius, with this album as probably his best if not one of his best albums to date. The production is top notch, and the songs are haunting and riveting at the same time. All of the Lights, Power, and Runaway are all classic anthems. This album is going to be timeless.

    Woww. This is really good. He has a lot of different elements,transparent themes. And the subject matter is explored. The music ranges alot which is really awesome. Songs got a funky rythm with some occasionly raunchy (in a bad way rthyms). But all in all Kanye has done a good job.

    To put this in a few words, 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' is the Greatest Hip-Hop Album of the 21st Century. Take this into account, 'The College Dropout' and 'Late Registration' are two influential hip-hop Masterpieces that live on though music forever, and this album (My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy) is better than both of them... That's got to mean something...

It was beautiful. It was intense, and it was a hell of a lot to take on. Now four years later, the album still holds strong. It's still Kanye's most mature effort, with ideas that span along MoneyI am not the biggest rap fan, but Kanye West always seems to know what he's doing. MBDTF, at the time of it's release, was like a revelation to the rap world. It wasn't a rap album, it was music. It was beautiful. It was intense, and it was a hell of a lot to take on. Now four years later, the album still holds strong. It's still Kanye's most mature effort, with ideas that span along Money and Power, to Lost Love, to people's destruction of our country. The title of the album describes it better than anything else. Though it doesn't have the longevity that would be liked. Some of the songs are a bit tedious to listen to now. And thus is why it takes some marks off.

    Truly an absolute classic. This is the definition of Kanye, by far his best album and one of the best albums for an entire genre. If you are looking to start listening to hip-hop or have loved hip-hop for your whole life it is a must listen.

    I love this album to death. Not a big fan of rap or Kanye's personal affairs but I really enjoyed listening to the songs on this track. From its sound to the lyrics, this is easily one of my favorite albums of all time.

    When this album came out in 2010 i only heard a few songs from it and they where catchy, so i decided to give this album a listen, and wasn't disappointed. kanye did most of the production on this, it was very well done. kanye flow changes throughout the tracks.     You don't even have to be a hip hop fan to like this album. His ability to mix so many elements into his music is powerful. He even manages to have great guest appearances and substantial and honest lyrics. Kanye West has achieved his greatest work with "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy". It is truly a MASTERPIECE!!!

    Kanye's one of, if not, the most influential rap artist of the 21st century. He took a genre which was desperately in need of a re-vamp, and successfully pulled it off with the release of four albums before "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy".

    MBDTF is dark, unforgiving, grand, and uses imagery which only Kanye West could pull off. It's a culmination of all of his frustrations in the 21st Century. Themes include celebrity, consumerism, the culture surrounding hip-hop, fidelity, and West's career.

    The album features appearances from Raekwon, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, and John Legend, each of the tracks they feature on are highlights for me.

    This is just a perfect album. One of few I've ever listened to.

However it never feels overloaded, and its power resides in its intelligent use of featured artists and some excellent choices regarding the numerous samples from all genres and eras. The album kind of makes a portrait of a lost man, but it does make sense as a whole. Some verses could’ve been under more scrutiny but it ends up being an embarrassment of great stirring tracks that never fall into the need for category. Its baroque influences and deep examination of himself and what surrounds him whether it’s real or imaginary make the record very unique and calling it the best album of 2010 isn't really an overstatement.

    The only Kanye album I own, the only hip hop album I own. Kanye's willingness to experiment with his music is what I've always loved about him as an artist, and never has this experimental side of his work been so successful as it is on this album. While occasionally you're left questioning how some of his experiments ever escaped the recording studio, the majority of this album is pure gold.

Once again Mr. West successfully proves his place in the hall of fame of the greatest artists of all time.     Kanye changed the game with this record. He made Bon Iver cooler. He introduced much of the world to Nicki Minaj. He saved lives with his masterpiece -- and magnum opus -- My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

    My favorite Kanye album. The first track, Dark Fantasy, is the best opening track I have heard in an album. When I first heard that song, I knew this album was going to be amazing. Hate on Kanye as much as you want, but you cannot deny that this man is a GENIUS when it comes to music.

    This is by far Kanye's best album so far I personally don't think this album should be rated higher than good kid m.A.A.d city for so many reasons, however, it's still a fantastic artistic album that gives us a view of Kanye's thoughts.

    The magnum opus of my favorite artist to ever live. MBDTF is an unreal album. It is incredibly layered and meticulous, in depth with a subtle and poignant concept. The song structures, the samples, eclectic music, the incredible displays of lyricism all make this undoubtedly one of music's most iconic and unforgettable records.

    This album shows Kanye at the top. He is as controversial, polarizing but creative as ever. It's been a bumpy ride for him before and after this record, but we must be thankful that we are left with a masterpiece that will define this decade's music. After all, it's Kanye's beautiful dark twisted fantasy.

    I have never understood Kanye West fans, but I haven't been listening to hip hop devotedly for more than 2 years. It occurred to me that I should try some of his older stuff, and it is now abundantly clear to me why he has fans. This album is artistically impeccable and he has fallen so far from glory. His fans are nostalgic for the real music.

After having the extremely controversial incident between Kanye West Taylor Swift at the 2009 Grammy awards Kanye West flew out of mainland U.S.A and bought out a studio in Hawaii where is crafted this masterpiece. He flew in several big hip-hop artists in and out of Hawaii to produce this. Those people include Drake,10/10 - A complete masterpiece that set the bar high for hip-hop. All Of the Lights is almost a mini "We Are the World" considering how many artists make their appearance on the song (Elton John, Rihanna, Drake, Fergie, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Kid Cudi and even more!). The track Monster features a strong performance by Kanye and a decent one by Jay Z, but it is Nicki Minaj who kills it on this track spitting the arguably best verse of her entire career. So Appalled does also feature quite a few names but is easily one of the weaker cuts (not that there are any WEAK tracks on this masterpiece) on the album. It simply drags on a bit too long. Pusha T delivers a fantastic verse as usual though. Devil In A New Dress is built on a haunting Smokey Robinson sample and once again features a strong verse by Kanye but it is the fantastic verse by Rick Ross that make the song. Runaway, which happens to be my favorite song of all time, is pretty much the perfect song in my opinion. Kanye's vulnerable vocals and lyrics, Pusha T's verse, the lengthy outro of distorted vocals. The piano, oh god the piano. The album is already an incredible work of art before Runaway but Runaway gives it that extra boost which makes it one of the greatest albums ever made in my honest opinion. Hell Of A Life works great at a workout track but feels almost unfinished. It's still a good track nonetheless but the production work, as well as the lyrics, don't match the calibre the rest of this album has to offer. Blame Game features Kanye in a vulnerable state once again and although the Chris Rock outro might get tiresome after the 100th listen, it was still a great idea to add him to the track. I just wish his part was a skit after the song, which I think would have given the track a better replay value. Lost In the World / Who Will Survive In America rightfully serves as a perfect closure to an almost perfect album. Superb production, fantastic features, and great lyricism. The whole album features a unique and beautifully epic atmosphere that sticks with you throughout the whole album. Few albums can make me feel like I'm in another dimension, but this is surely one of those few. But then again, this is just my opinion.

    This is the album that not only redeemed Kanye during really tough times, but gave him a place as one of the most influential artists of our new millennium, with an incredibly artistic insight. The production, the verses, the collaborations with Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, and Rick Ross has made this such a diabolical rap album. A twisted fantasy that most music listeners would be happy to give a listen to. The great Mike Dean is what also brings this album to life. The crafty, kaleidoscopic sounds that are both holy and unholy make MBDTF a magnum opus to the very end. Emotional tracks like Runaway, Gorgeous. Devil in a New Dress, and Lost in the World takes Kanye out of the "rapper" label and into immortality as THE "orchestrator".

    There is undoubtedly a few missed opportunities and a bit of filler inside this project, but its consistensy and raw emotion far overshadows any flaw that this album may have. Despite the controversy that Kanye has collected as a celebrity, he refuses to let it take him down. He did what he is best at, and that is making soulful music. The verses on "So Appalled" were that of a near perfect chemistry that efficiently fits into the blueprint. The combinations of glorious vocals with steady drums in "Lost in the World" makes a true connection to those who give this album a listen. There is so much, yet too little when talking about this album. A perfect 10 from the very beginning.

    MBDTF is an album where Kanye's reinvention is phenomenal, and the break he took in Hawaii is that of almost miracles. This album captivates hip hop and music for all of its great elements, classical, modern and contemporary. The only issues are slight shortcomings on the last 4 tracks of the album. However the songs from dark fantasy through Runaway there is not a single fault to point out.

The samples used all along are awesome. This clearly is a hip-hop/rap album but it also offers moments to get closer to opera-style, impressive electric guitar riffs, a lot of piano, R&B, clapping, pop and beautiful choirs. This is an album that lets the silence have its own room in the record. Overall production is terrific. There are a lot of guests (and a lot that are not even credited) but they all surprisingly find their own place and manage to differentiate from each other. Kanye created an unique balance between long tracks (8 out of 13 are longer than 5 minutes) and short ones (2 out of 13 less than 2 minutes long).

    I honestly can't put higher than an 8.5/10 because some passages sound really unharmonic to me even if I listen to this again and again. In conclusion I have nothing more to say that this album is truly powerful, consistent, clever and varied.    … Expand

    Album łączy w sobie wszystkie dotychczasowe osiągnięcia Westa, wszystkie mocne strony poprzednich albumów, od figlarności TCD, głębi LR, przystępności Graduation, emocjonalności i eksperymentalnego podejścia 808s.

    Liryczne Kanye West stworzył dzieło bardzo kontemplacyjne, głębokie i intymne. Występuje tu jako filozof i błazen zarazem, mówi o rzeczach wzniosłych, jednocześnie bywając do bólu obsceniczny. Porusza tematy upajania się hedonizmem, bogactwem i władzą jaką ze sobą niosą, a zarazem zagubienia i emocjonalnego wypalenia.     I'm not a huge fan of hip-hop but this album is an exception. It's clearly flawlessly arranged, the lyrics brilliantly showcase emotions of the artist and, in my experience, this is his best work and the best of what the genre can offer.
