This is one of the best 80's albums. All the people around the world should listen it. Perfect musics that sound harder than Pop and lighter that Rock.

An 80's disco masterpiece of heady psychedelic dance floor bangers. Unfurling slowly with a seductive rhythm Jones erupts on Nightclubbing like an intimidating benevolent ruler. "Walking in the rain" the opener feels like a pulse moving in unison with the dance floor. "Pull up to the bumper" moves with the swagger of reggae but the cool of disco. The production of this album does do most of the heavy lifting but that is due to no failing of Jones. Instead her lyrics feel like the guide to the chaos of the music but on the album higlight "Demolition man" she takes the helm and with a bowie reminiscent delivery takes center stage . This album is phenomenal with just how well everything fits together,.

Nightclubbing still sounds like nothing else released during the 80s, though its colossal influence repeatedly reveals itself.

This 1981 release was the middle and probably the greatest of Grace Jones's Compass Point trio. [Jun 2014, p.106]

The fact that Grace Jones actually made a run of visionary '80s albums has long been rather overlooked, but this luxurious reissue goes a long way to righting that wrong. [Jun 2014, p.124]
