If the album can be considered R&B proper, it’s one of the most consistent and fulfilling longplayers the genre has yet birthed.
  2. 80
Their debut album is 11 whispered R&B songs, all textured, considered and thoughtfully constructed.
  3. 80
While indebted to the music that came before it, No World is very much of the here and now.
  4. 70
Though it tails off, it starts wonderfully, and how much you enjoy No World’s second half will entirely depend on whether you thought the successes of its first were so great that they were worth repeating within the following 20 minutes.

inc. is both faithful to its source material and clever enough to twist it into new shapes, but at least for the time being, no world is unlikely to bring the Ageds out of the shadows.

No world expands the EP’s sound into a slow-burning stew of low bass, nervously ricocheting ticks, and rim shots. The synths circle woozily, usually providing more of the atmosphere than the lead melody. The vocals aren’t hiding, but they’re not out in front either.

The suspicion is that, in parts at least, No World was more satisfying to make than it is to listen to. [Mar 2013, p.104]
