$O$ is mostly forgettable, not working as either a comedy piece or as actual, you know, music
  2. $O$ may be as much Die Antwoord as the world needs. Except for "In Your Face," the newer songs already sound forced. But Die Antwoord's initial blasts deserved all their mouse clicks.
  3. The overall effect is sort of like watching freak-show performers who haven't figured out how to maximize their talents.
  4. Frustratingly, most songs have great ideas in them, sitting alongside creative dead ends. The overall sound of the record--to be reductionist, rave-rap--is a welcome trend, and it proves they have their ear to the ground.

$o$ sounds like the most half-baked efforts of Hadouken!, LMFAO and Eugene Hutz.

While not entirely consistent, $O$ offers some diverse, and often hilarious tracks. Full Review »

I figured I'd check it out because it sounded interesting, but unfortunately I can't say I was impressed. I thought that a couple of songs were decent, but overall I'm glad I only streamed the album an didn't purchase it. If someone were to ask me if it were worth buying, I would tell them "No." Full Review »
