It might attract a few Mumford fans, but if you prefer Yellowcard to sound like, well, Yellowcard, stick to the original. [10 Aug 2013, p.55]

For an album that led the charge in early-’00s pop-punk, it’s worth a spin or two, if only for the memories it’ll bring back.

    It's pretty--but also pretty pointless. [Oct 2013, p.113]

However, some of the faster paced songs ("Way Away", "Breathing") suffer when adapted to acoustic. The album shines when tracks are reworked in a way that separates itself from its 2003 counterpart. "View From Heaven" and "One Year, Six Months" are great examples of this. "View" adds new instrumentation including a banjo and reworked harmonies. "One Year" (a previously acoustic track) is done completely on piano. Overall, this album is a solid purchase for hardcore Yellowcard fans. If you just want some good music, I recommend buying a few songs off of this record. Full Review »
