    Independence Day is normal for Neil: he tests the climate and the atmospherics are depressing. Terrorise Me, a response to the Bataclan outrage, is the key piece. The rest is no faffing and easy listening.

    A beautiful, gorgeous, complex album. He has proven himself as one of the top 5 singer songwriters in the past 20 years. It's quiet, yes, butA beautiful, gorgeous, complex album. He has proven himself as one of the top 5 singer songwriters in the past 20 years. It's quiet, yes, but there is power, and, mostly, beauty. This is so far removed from his early work in Split Enz and then Crowded House. It is much more mature and complex. Album of the Year. Full Review »
