  1. The Endless Not is ultimately a testament to getting it right, even after a lengthy separation, and proves that getting old doesn’t mean that you have to suffer loss of potency.
  2. The Endless Not features some of the subtlest songwriting of TG's career, playing that knot of tension for all it's worth and all the more disturbing for how pensive and restrained it feels.
  3. Uncut

The Endless Not sees the whirring tape-loopsof old replaced by iMacs, but not at the expense of sheer abrasiveness. [May 2007, p.113]
  4. A worthy addition to the catalog.
  5. If the reformed Throbbing Gristle can't hope to live up to the mythic reputation, it seems they're still capable of delivering the occasional shock.
  6. Great album though this is in it's own right, the failing of 'The Endless Not' is that it just sounds like it's happy to play safe. No shocks, no surprises... and , sadly, none of what made TG arguably, together with the Sex Pistols, THEE most important force in the evolution of modern popular music.
  7. It sounds like creepy supper club music.

Why people are whining about it not being as confrontational, I don't know. That was 25 years ago, what did you expect? That's not Why people are whining about it not being as confrontational, I don't know. That was 25 years ago, what did you expect? That's not to be said that it's bad - it's not - it sounds more like a Coil record, with Genesis doing vocals. It is worth picking up. Expand
