The singer's second album Zara Larsson is out now, maybe not pop perfection but good to hang out, this album would be better if I hadn't put it off and released several songs already heard.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I think this is a so-so album with dance pop songs that are not very interesting but not God-awful either. It was the first time i listened to any of her albums so i have nothing to compare this too but she had great singles before. Most of the songs are about love but i don't remember hearing a lot of memorable things about love. Love Me Land has a nice pulsating beat and nice chorus as well, the album starts off well with this banger. The Young Thug collaboration is okay but Young Thug's contribution is instantly forgettable. Look What You've Done is also a nice song as it gives some 80's retro vibes with great production and a soaring chorus. FFF is also another good song with an 80's throwback and a nice memorable chorus. The rest are just a collection of hip hop beats and bland pop songs and also a lot of use of autotune for a girl with an amazing and sweet voice, i don't get it but anyway. Its still worth a listen though. Expand

Pitchfork did have a point. It's basically a bunch of beats under zara's voice. love me land is still the obvious standout

Personally i felt like this was a very lackluster album in comparison to "So Good".
No shame in making an album about being in love but if you're going to do it, do it well.

To be honest this album is just a little boring, basic and it doesn't stand out. There are definitely some really good tracks such as Love Me Land and Need Someone. Also Zara's voice sounds amazing.

“Poster Girl” is so enraptured with this idealized vision of a pop star that it leaves no room to learn about the woman behind the mic.

Tighter than So Good and packed with just as many catchy tunes, Poster Girl is yet another big step forward for the artist, adding a dozen fresh anthems to her catalog and maintaining her position as one of Sweden's finest pop exports.

Poster Girl is a step forward in a somewhat more concise direction for Larsson, but it could have used some fine-tuning to fully commit to its vision. She has created an album that is unapologetically romantic and fun but lacking in consistency production-wise.
