  1. Hurrah for all those who delight in confounding expectations, especially when the results are this unexpectedly, paradoxically delightful.
  2. Uncut

A sparky and honest mess. [Mar 2005, p.94]
  3. New Musical Express (NME)
    60
A horrible, hysterical splurge of splenetic punk rock, processed beats and whimsical experimental chaos. Which is no bad thing. [5 Feb 2005, p.51]
  4. For all the sloganeering, Press the Spacebar never forgets that it's a dance album.
  5. Unfortunately, the band is not able to match their vitriol with memorable tunes.
  6. The trouble is, they've... stopped writing songs. Instead, there are collages of sound devoid of subtlety; colliding rhythms that make noise rather than sense.

The Chicks sound as though they're running out of gas. [Mar 2005, p.118]
  8. Q Magazine

Musically, it sucks. [Feb 2005, p.98]
