May 29, 2015Quarters is not so much an album of two halves, as three-quarters.
-
Jun 10, 2015Quarters! is also the band's most accessible album to date.... This in an album that caters to the listeners' self-indulgence rather than arresting their attention, which is a shame. But is what you've really been seeking all these years is Alejandro Jodorowsky's The Holy Mountain on wax, look no further.

May 29, 2015King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have never been known for being concise or streamlined, but they show on Quarters that blowing out (more than usual) their sounds and elongating their songs to extremes works really well for them.

May 29, 2015With Quarters King Gizzard they have produced an album which can be analysed to death if need be, but actually works better as something to be consumed as a whole.
-
Jun 16, 2015The opener and closer are a real treat, and it's a shame that they weren't packaged together where they would have made a shorter but more satisfying whole.
