If nothing else, Quavo Huncho suggests that Quavo's dependence on Takeoff and Offset doesn't run quite as deep as one might think. But what little appeal the album ends up having has less to do with him, and more to do with the features and variety of production.

FAV TRACKS: BIGGEST ALLEY OOP, FLIP THE SWITCH, CHAMPAGNE ROSÉ, KEEP THAT S**T, LOST, GO ALL THE WAY (IRONICALLY) LEAST

19 tracks, 0 variety. Although some tracks on their own might sound decent, as an album it just sounds like a 1-hour long Quavo track.

Favourite tracks: FLIP THE SWITCH, RERUN, LOST
Worst tracks: The other 16 tracks.

The first part of Quavo Huncho, let’s say from its beginning until Workin Me, is quite enjoyable, and even though there’s not such variety in those tracks you can still say there’s some quality in there. The situation worsens when tracks like Champagne Rose, **** 12, Big Bro and Swing are played, due to their insignificantly triviality and flatness. Quavo shows consistency on this album through trap-a-long choruses and fresh sounds but there are definitely some misses that will likely never be streamed again.

QUAVO HUNCHO ends up being a half-and-half affair: half making it easy to hit the skip button and the other half highlighting the talents Quavo brings to Migos.

It works fine as a stopgap or as background music. It sounds like license-free 2010s trap, for which there always seems to be a market. But it is so ordinary, so uniquely uninspiring that it makes it difficult to imagine a solo work from Quavo that would truly grip our attention (or our club nights or car stereos).
