Quavo shows consistency on this album through trap-a-long choruses and fresh sounds but there are definitely some misses that will likely never be streamed again.

By the end of the project, Quavo Huncho begins to feel more like a mixtape, with Quavo popping out to add a few unenergetic verses and repetitive adlibs rather than a strong solo debut. Quavo Huncho's individual features provide more of a draw than every solo track combined, proving that Quavo still needs some time to grow and develop as a solo artist.

Quavo Huncho is enjoyable but unmemorable. It's not quite a Migos album, but it comes close enough to tide fans over until album number four.

A scattershot collection of fresh-yet-familiar thumpers that will nicely keep the Migos brand bubbling through the forthcoming solo sets from kinfolk Offset and Takeoff. This is step one in building anticipation for the inevitable reunion record of three voices that, until proven otherwise, are best experienced playing off one another.

It works fine as a stopgap or as background music. It sounds like license-free 2010s trap, for which there always seems to be a market. But it is so ordinary, so uniquely uninspiring that it makes it difficult to imagine a solo work from Quavo that would truly grip our attention (or our club nights or car stereos).

QUAVO HUNCHO ends up being a half-and-half affair: half making it easy to hit the skip button and the other half highlighting the talents Quavo brings to Migos.

The situation worsens when tracks like Champagne Rose, **** 12, Big Bro and Swing are played, due to their insignificantly triviality and flatness. Tracks like Rerun and Go All the Way manage to reach a mid-high level, but the rest of the album is quite mediocre. Expand

If nothing else, Quavo Huncho suggests that Quavo's dependence on Takeoff and Offset doesn't run quite as deep as one might think. But whatIf nothing else, Quavo Huncho suggests that Quavo's dependence on Takeoff and Offset doesn't run quite as deep as one might think. But what little appeal the album ends up having has less to do with him, and more to do with the features and variety of production.

All the beats were monotone and simple, and the features didn't do anything to save it either. Quavo didn't even have a flow to at least make it bearable. I was really disappointed, but then again, I wasn't expecting much from it anyways. Expand

If Migos don't have enough versatility to carry a long track list album, Quavo alone, has even less. I thought we would hear somethingIf Migos don't have enough versatility to carry a long track list album, Quavo alone, has even less. I thought we would hear something different from him, but after listening to the leading singles BUBBLE GUM and W O R K I N M E, I imagine this was gonna be a whole bag of nothing.

Quavo does no efforts on even trying to push himself out of his comfort zone, and honestly at times he seems uninterested in even recording the song.

When you have no substance on your music, you make it up with something, interesting flows, amazing beats, but Quavo has the same exact flow and delivery the WHOLE album, and the beats are pretty generic for the most part.

The features add nothing interesting, except for Kid Cudi, that makes the song Lost quite listenable too , so i guess it's not completely **** but it's still the worst album i've heard this year

The features on the album are a mixed bag. Drake, 21 Savage, Saweetie, Madonna, Offset, Takeoff, Lil Baby, Normani, and Davido were just average, Cardi B was alright, and Travis Scott and Kid Cudi were the only good features who step their A game up in this god awful album. Quavo's lyrics were just awful. He sounds the same from start to finish. The album cover looks like Anthony Fantano's face. This is definitely one of the worst albums of 2018. Expand
