When you think some Iggy or Cardi **** can take her spot, she proves why and how to be the QUEEN. I'll give you 10 minutes to name something by a female rapper this decade more harder and iconic than Barbie Dreams. GO!

Title couldn't have been MORE fitting. You can hear the HOV, Foxy and even Kanye influence. Her lyricism in this project has blown me away. The production, delivery, flow, cadence, I am speechless. Exceeded every expectation I had. Somehow she outdid herself once again. Hip-Hop doesn't give us pieces of work like this anymore. Congratulations Ms. Maraj. 10/10

As a Nicki fan for over a decade I was more than apprehensive upon the roll out of Queen.
Any apprehension I had was thrown to the way-side after my first full listen of the album, Nicki exceeded all of my expectations and I'm very thankful to have experienced the release with her through apple music.

Queen is an album that feels more like a look back at her past success, without the dreaded Nicki Minaj filler tracks. As she matures as an artist, she updates her music style to mesh with 2018 rap music.

    1. Ganja Burn, a story of what she did and how she felt during her hiatus from music. 10/10 2. Majesty ft. Eminem & Labrinth, Nicki and Em never disappoint with their flows 8/10 3.

    2. Majesty ft. Eminem & Labrinth, Nicki and Em never disappoint with their flows 8/10
    3. Barbie Dreams, a Nicki version of Just Playing (Dreams) and its the best track on the album 10/10
    4. Rich Sex ft. Lil Wayne, the title sums it up perfectly + a nice Lil Wayne feature 10/10
    5. Hard White, Nicki goes hard AF on this track and the beat is insane 9/10
    6. Bed ft. Ariana Grande, this "pop song" sounding song is good but it feels wrong on the album 8/10
    7. Thought I Knew You ft. The Weeknd, I personally don't like the song but The Weeknd helps it 7/10
    8. Run & Hide, this song ended the good song streak this album had, id run and hide from this 4/10
    9. Chun Swae ft. Swae Lee, as stupid as the title is... its fire and starts the streak back up 9/10
    10. Chun-Li, everyone has already heard this no explanation needed for the rating 10/10
    11. LLC, strait fire. her flow could kill a family of five on this song 10/10
    12. Good Form, dat Benz song tho 8/10
    13. Nip Tuck, Nicki's singing on this song is perfect 9/10
    14. 2 Lit 2 Late Interlude, this should have been a full song apposed to Run & Hide 8/10
    15. Come See About Me, this song is so sad but I love it 9/10
    16. Sir ft. Future, fire beat and the typical Future feature 9/10
    17. Miami, this song is what I like to hear from Nicki. Her flow is unreal. 10/10
    18. Coco Chanel ft. Foxy Brown, a different sound for Nicki but Foxy delivers a great verse 8/10
    19. Inspirations Outro, its really apart of Coco Chanel and not another song 7/10

Standout Songs are Ganja Burn, Barbie Dreams and Chun-Li

Overall: 8.5 (rounded up to 9) this was a huge upgrade from The Pinkprint but didn't top its best song, Feeling Myself ft. Beyonce. Nicki did great with her new project and it deserves the praise it is getting.

On Queen, Nicki spends a lot of time ordering beheadings--which are fun, but get old quick--rather than showing us why she is and should be queen. Here's to hoping the next album gives us a more earnest, more raw glimpse of the head that wears the crown.

When Minaj leans into her untouchable strengths as a rapper, things get really exciting and an album of tracks as strong as "LLC" or "Barbie Dreams" would be one for the books. As it stands, however, Queen is another chapter of Minaj's good but largely meandering and inconsistent full-length album output.

Queen's title implies it's meant to function as a coronation for one of the biggest rappers ever, but it's more the sound of Minaj fighting to keep that crown on her head.
