Apr 10, 2013The disc of rough-around-the-edges demo tracks is worth the price of admission but this is a 90s classic in every way. I would've rated it a straight 10 even if the reissue were just a remastering of the original 10-track release.

Nov 8, 2014Zack De La Rocha's Godlike Rapping Are Awesome, My Favorites are "Killing In The Name", "Bombtrack" And "Bullet In The Head", This is the best album made by ratm

Feb 24, 2015Powerful, shocking and still sounding completely fresh 20 years on. Arguably one of the greatest rock albums produced. Rage created a sound of their own, complemented with a dialogue consisting of strong political, anti-establishment sentiment. If you love music and don't own a copy of the original or re-release you should be ashamed!

Apr 29, 2017RATM's immortal debut does seem a bit repetitive at times with the riffs, but the lyricism behind each track blows the album its soul. Definitely deserves a few listens.

May 3, 2018This album is fast, violent, loud, makes you want to rage against the machine. One of Rock's masterpieces, and it as aged just as well.

Mar 20, 2021Fantastic box set of iconic Rage Against The Machine's self-titled debut album.
-
Mar 20, 2020Urgent, playful and creative; As relevant now as it was upon it's release. De la Rocha is mad. The whole band is innovative as hell. Not a skippable track. You will find something new upon every listen. An album that is a perfect blend of a call-to-arms and fun. A rare event.

Jan 21, 2022This is the history of nu metal/alternative metal. 90's vibes and heavy political messages make this album iconic.
-
Dec 11, 2022Straightforward, unscrupulous,... I must give this personal best rock album of the 1990s more applause and kneel...until death...
-
Jun 4, 2013The real gold is in tracks that didn’t make the final album, such as the funked-up Autologic and a jazz workout, Darkness Of Greed.
-
Feb 7, 2013Zack de la Rocha's fevered shout doesn't sound any more graceful now than it did then, but Tom Morello's riffs still cook, the grooves still burn.

Under The RadarJan 3, 2013For 50 minutes, Rage Against The Machine is in superb form, showing that its vision was strong from the start. [Jan-Feb 2013, p.92]
