    She could not top her previous, Revival. The album is not bad per day by any means, it just seems to miss the bar. Waiting four years for an album not as good as her previous is somewhat disappointing.

Cativou-me quando escutei pela segunda vez, quando me encontrei encantada pela sinceridade das letras contando suas histórias, e claro, como sempre, fiquei encantada por sua voz.

    The album is one of the best things that has appeared in the world in recent years! the melody, lyrics and feeling from end to end of each track. And a basic lesson in self-love and acceptance, all songs have something to relate to our lives and have a solution to this problem or learn about it. It took four years for that, and it was pretty offsetting.

It starts with the pop perfection track, Rare, and manages to keep the sound quality until the end, with high points like the incredibles tracks Vulnerable, Kinda Crazy and Cut You Off, ending with A Sweeter Place.     Rare is one of the best albums released recently. Its cohesive, every song sound different but altogether it creates magical effect. It's an album about self growth and self love. She's getting back the confidence that life challenges and **** people stole from her. 10/10

    Every track of RARE is a lesson of self love and how life can be fun. Refreshing, high quality, well produced and Gomez’s vocals are serving a good treat for the ears. Songs like Dance Again, Sweeter Place and Let Me Get Me makes you wanna stand up and make some moves. Awesome.

The production though clear and cohesive is predictable, lackluster and uninspired which isn't helped by the bland choruses and juvenile lyrics that fail to convey the depth of her emotions. This is undoubtedly her best record which is a shame considering how much better it could've been if she had experimented more like exemplified in her singles "bad liar" & "fetish" but instead she took the safer route.     Selena is back after five long years and this masterpiece was so worth the wait. Selena keeps developing her sound and experiments a lot. The album sounds more mature and personal than her previous work and it was hard to live up to the influential pop masterpiece "Revival". The lyrics are very personal and relatable.     While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
