Not sonically cohesive (as the singer herself says) but the best and well-executed body of work that really represents Taylor. She can go from catch-pop bops to melancholic country songs. The best “testing the water” work in the industry. Not a surprise that it’s one of the best of the decade.

This album took me to the Fall season where the vibe feels so sad even though i do not live in a country where there's no season like that. It feels like you are on every story of the song she written on the same time. Amazing.

Her magnum opus. An album that will probably be a classic, it truly shows the levels through which one's heart can feel emotion. It has a polarizing feel to it, switching from emotional songs to more upbeat ones, and then to ballads, a quality I once hated but now know is part of this record's essence. The only downside to the record is the number of tracks. Longer albums tend to have a bigger possibility of filler songs and this one's no exception. Overall though, a masterpiece. Expand

An amazing album with the best song ever written by her which is All Too Well. Actually this is arguably one of her best album if not the best one.

An undeniably beloved album, RED is an instant classic. First hitting my eardrums during my freshman year of high school, this album is one I hold close to my heart, along with all of the memories of me during my very long awkward stage. I found out a lot about who I was during the few years until Taylor’s next project would drop, and RED was my steadfast companion on that journey. I found out a lot about who I was during the few years until Taylor’s next project would drop, and RED was my steadfast companion on that journey. (I remember listening to it during PE’s hellish 2-mile runs, Taylor’s poppiest-country-album to-date cheering me on all the way until the color of my face matched the title of this album.)
Taylor’s songwriting on this album continues to impress, with tracks like State of Grace, All Too Well, I Almost Do, The Last Time, Holy Ground, and The Lucky One being my major standouts, in this regard.
I’ve seen fans state that RED is a fall-time album, and I think that I would agree. There’s a coziness about this album that makes you want to curl up in front of a fireplace with a blanket, a cup of tea, and some knitting needles as Taylor serenades you with some of her most well-written songs to-date.

Taylor Swift is one of the Greatest songwriters of Our generation. I have listened to the whole album and this album actually has a more Country Rock feel to it rather than her usual Country Pop sound. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together". We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together".
"Love is a ruthless game. Unless you play it good and right."
Mas nenhuma dessas canções conseguem contar histórias de uma forma tão perfeita e coesa quanto 'All Too Well', e 'The Moment I Knew'. "I walked through the door with you, the air was cold (...) Left my scarf there at your sister's house. And you still got it in you drawer, even now." Esse trecho de 'All Too Well' mostra a memória tão detalhada que Swift possui, e, principalmente, a coragem que ela possui de contar detalhes do relacionamento. "But you keep my old scarf from that very first week. 'Cause it reminds you of innocence and it smells like me. You can't get rid of it, 'cause you remember it all too well."

Taylor Swift has a lot of baggage to release on her fourth album, 'Red'. This record is a beautiful diary of the relationships Swift has had during the course of her life before and after fame. While this is Swift's most lyrically mature album, some of the production is lacking and a lot of tracks seem to have pacing issues, but when you find yourself waiting for the next big hit she gives it to you before you decide to take a break from her. Although I enjoyed the stories we are told on this album and I love Swift dabbling in pop, I'm still seeing the same issues she's had on every album beforehand, so I still want to see growth.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

Hearing Taylor Swift sing makes you remember these things, how you can wax poetic one day about the efficacy of love to change lives permanently for the better, and the next rail about how love leads only to pain and heartache.
  2. I like the feisty ones, as I generally do. But "Begin Again" and especially "Stay Stay Stay" stay happy and hit just as hard.

More varied in its offerings, but also more disjointed than her previous work, Red sounds like a transitional album for Swift.
