  1. There's nothing ludicrous about Ludacris giving his fans exactly what they want, and it's even less ludicrous that he will probably convert more new fans on the strength of "Release Therapy."
  2. Always good but seldom great, Release Therapy is the rare major-label rap album that suffers from too much substance.
  3. Offers enough fierce dis tracks and exuberant punchlines to all but ensure a top 10 debut.

Release Therapy is solid; disappointing only when weighed against Luda's prodigious talent. [Dec 2006, p.89]
  5. It's understandable that Ludacris wanted to show off different parts of himself, but in doing so he didn't have to forget about what fans already knew.
  6. Ludacris has created the most uneven album of his career, so frontloaded it might as well be an EP.
  7. The laughs are in short supply on "Release Therapy."

Best lyrical album by far from ludacris. He upgrades from punchlines that make you say wow, to storytelling and concepts.

In my opinion, this is his worst album...weak beats and annoying rhymes. The red light district was so much better
