Overall, the record is buoyed by relentless exuberance and good-natured charm.

Three-quarters of Remember Me, which is mainly produced by Gemini or his like-minded associate P-Lo, sounds great on iPhone speakers. But the rest of the album is too slow and soggy.

Its greatest moments shine through in club hits that seeped through virally on the web and made him a nationwide phenomenon on the radio, it’s other moments aren’t as flashy.

With the majority of the tracks being in-and-around the two minute mark, Sage The Gemini presses the gas pedal too quickly before capturing your attention lyrically or sonically.

Remember Me’s faults definitely hold it back, but it’s still largely likeable and satisfying when it comes to simply being festive West Coast party Hip Hop.

Probably one of the best debuts of 2014. Sage has plenty of talent as a producer along with P-Lo. He also has skills as a rapper. He's notProbably one of the best debuts of 2014. Sage has plenty of talent as a producer along with P-Lo. He also has skills as a rapper. He's not especially lyrical, but he can rap. However, this isn't clearly seen on the album's most popular singles, "Red Nose" and "Gas Pedal". It is seen more on the title track and most other songs on the album. I would highly suggest this over IAmSu's debut, Sincerely Yours. Grade: B. Highlights: "Remember Me", "College Drop", "Nothing to Me". Worst song: "Desert of Mirages" Full Review »
