After a corkingly good start with 'Don't You Wish It was True?,' the album dips into Creedence by the numbers for several cuts with only the gospelly 'River IS Waiting sounding fresh. [Nov 2007, p.92]
  2. Revival is neither the great album nor the disappointment many are proclaiming it.

    It's a solid return. [Nov 2007, p.137]

Glowing, I've heard "Don't You Wish It was True?" and I think it's a great tune--but I've yet to hear the whole album. Glowing, glorious reviews abound (as usual) from the banal crowd that must not have a musical appreciation like the rest of us: How many lousy CDs am I supposed to buy on the word of paid-by-the-industry [bad] reviewers all of whom have all their taste in their mouths? I'll buy it after I hear (all of) it. Full Review »
