A simply phenomenal look into how one of the greatest bands ever produced one of their masterpieces.

Esse álbum definiu a música moderna. Seu retorno nos tempos atuais e da forma que veio, são de absoluta importância para a indústria. Nada mais é do que um respiro da porcaria mainstream genérica.

Review-bombing by Taylor Swift fans. There's no other logical explanation as to why this masterpiece that is still miles ahead of everything being released today by pop artists has such a low user score.

It’s the best Beatles record, contender for the ever subjective best album of all time, and this is easily the best way to listen to it. Giles Martin’s new mix sprays the immense details of each song all around with mastery, and the fab four experiment and reinvent before your ears on the takes and sessions with even more mastery.

While the added tracks aren’t as in-depth as the Deluxe versions of Let It Be or The White Album, as someone who considers Revolver one of (if not the) greatest LP of all-time this was a treat. Most of the new mixes improve the songs (though some do make them worse by exploding or isolating the vocals, much like previous Martin remixes), and the bonus tracks are fun for Fab Four fans. While the added tracks aren’t as in-depth as the Deluxe versions of Let It Be or The White Album, as someone who considers Revolver one of (if not the) greatest LP of all-time this was a treat. This album was already great and this remix has done it justice. The vocal and instrumentations have been done in a way that has improved the listening experience.

Which I guess is quite a valid thing to say but sadly they don't elaborate more than that.

As for why I like the album?

This album marked the biggest experimentation when it came to The Beatles, it marked the influence of the Beach Boy's Pet Sounds in a lot of their tunes, which you can listen to, Eleanor Rigby, Here, There, and Everywhere, Got to Get You Into My Life.

This is the first Beatles album to also incorporate aspects of spirituality, classical music, tunes for children, and overall, a deliberate attempt at trying to attain a better and new sound.

The music from them is timeless, the feelings behind their songs and their evocative nature it's timeless as well, there's a reason as to why now, more than 50 years after its release, we're getting the album remastered and re-released in this form, not only remastered to sound as clear and cutting as it can get, but to also uncover a lot of demo's and alternate takes that more often than not, offer a glimpse in the fantastic creative process behind the creation of each of the album's songs.

One could argue that there's a futility in this praise and in the multitude of different releases coming out, but the truth is, as overrated as some might consider The Beatles, perhaps ignoring their history, their impact, or listening to their music with only deaf ears, there isn't that much of an argument that needs to ciment their impact in history, let alone in music, as it has been written already.

This groundbreaking album marked a significant shift in the band's sound and signaled their transition from a conventional pop group to sonic innovators and musical pioneers. With its bold experimentation, impeccable songwriting, and visionary production, Revolver remains a timeless masterpiece that continues to inspire and captivate listeners to this day.

From the very first notes of "Taxman," Revolver grabs your attention and refuses to let go. The album's opening track sets the tone with its catchy guitar riffs, biting social commentary, and George Harrison's distinctive vocals. What follows is a remarkable journey through a diverse sonic landscape, where no two songs sound alike. The album effortlessly weaves together rock, pop, psychedelia, Indian music, and even classical influences, showcasing The Beatles' willingness to push boundaries and defy expectations.

Revolver is a testament to the band's exceptional songwriting abilities. Each track is a gem in its own right, revealing the individual strengths of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison as songwriters. Lennon's introspective and thought-provoking compositions, such as "Eleanor Rigby" and "I'm Only Sleeping," delve into deep emotions and existential themes. McCartney's melodic sensibility shines through in tracks like "Here, There and Everywhere" and the whimsical "Good Day Sunshine." Harrison's contributions, such as the introspective "Love You To" and the sitar-infused masterpiece "Within You Without You," add an exotic and contemplative element to the album.

The production on Revolver is nothing short of exceptional. Working closely with producer George Martin, The Beatles pushed the boundaries of what was possible in the recording studio. The innovative use of instruments, studio effects, and unconventional recording techniques creates a rich and immersive sonic landscape. From the lush harmonies and intricate arrangements to the meticulously crafted soundscapes, each song feels like a carefully crafted work of art.

Revolver also showcases the band's growth as musicians. Ringo Starr's drumming is solid and inventive, providing the perfect rhythmic backbone for the diverse musical styles explored on the album. McCartney's basslines are melodic and intricate, and Lennon and Harrison's guitar work is both tasteful and innovative. The attention to detail in the performances is evident, with each instrument serving the song in the most effective and creative way.

What sets Revolver apart is not only its technical and musical brilliance but also its lasting impact on popular music. The album's influence can be heard in countless bands and artists across generations. Its experimentation and boundary-pushing paved the way for the psychedelic and progressive rock movements of the late '60s and beyond. Revolver's timeless appeal lies in its ability to transcend its era and remain relevant and innovative in the ever-evolving musical landscape.

In conclusion, Revolver is a masterpiece that deserves its rating of 9/10. The album showcases The Beatles at the height of their creative powers, pushing the boundaries of what was possible in popular music. Its exceptional songwriting, visionary production, and genre-defying experimentation make it a must-listen for music enthusiasts of all backgrounds. Revolver is a testament to The Beatles' unparalleled talent and their everlasting impact on the world of music.

With a few takes of each song, the session tracks hint at how intuitively the Beatles worked. ... The new mixes on the expanded “Revolver,” made with current technology and 21st-century ears, are a pleasure; they have more transparency and a more three-dimensional sense of space than the 1966 mixes. ... The new set insists that the clearer it’s heard, the odder it is. “Revolver” still holds surprises.

The set employs a “Get Back”-style approach to several of the songs, where listeners can hear the evolution of “Yellow Submarine” from a depressing lament to the familiar jaunty children’s anthem, that “And Your Bird Can Sing” once had a flagrant Byrds reference, and “Tomorrow Never Knows” was originally much slower — and even trippier. ... What’s really special here are the aforementioned book and especially the outtakes, many of which have eluded bootleggers over the half-century-plus since illicit Beatles releases began hitting the market.

Safe to say, the album's 14 tracks are confirmed to be nothing less than brilliant (it wasn't consistently voted the best album of all time back in the 90s for nothing), with Martin's beautifully burnished, respectful restorations of For No One, Here There And Everywhere and the enduringly magnificent Tomorrow Never Knows packing particular emotional punch.
