Volbeat have long been superstars in their native Europe for quite a while, but this album should go a long way to establishing them as festival headliners across the rest of the globe.

Volbeat have produced another fun and eclectic album with a plethora of potential hit singles. They don’t stray far from their established formula, but do push the limits enough to keep things interesting.

Volbeat still sound like a band desperately searching for an identity to call their own. [3 Aug 2019, p.59]

Their rockabilly sound has always been unique and fun. This album, song after song, does not disappoint. I counted down the days for the release and am loving it. I've listened to it many times at this point. I do miss some of their earlier, harder, sounds but overall I think they hit the mark and it's an amazing album. I don't think I've honestly ever been disappointed. Now I just wish I could catch them live in my area. It's been a few years and I'm dying to see them again. Expand

One of the best albums of 2019 and we're only halfway thru. So proud of how much this band has grown.

Of course since it’s Volbeat it has catchy riffs and choruses, not to mention great features including Gary holt and Neil Fallon. If you’ve been starving for a full of life Volbeat this will appease you. Only criticism for me is that some of it sounds a little familiar, but it’s a sound I like so not that big of a problem. Other than the singles, "Die to Live", "Sorry Sack of Bones", "Maybe I Believe", and "The Everlasting" are some of the better songs. Only reason I didn't go higher was because the choruses are pretty uninspiring, but overall a damn good album. Expand

I know I might be alone in this, but I love this blend of rock ‘n’ roll and metal. It rules! It does get a bit bland by the end though.

Expand
