HelenKApr 27, 2009I am afraid I disagree. I have been listening to J.J. since I was an early teenager and think this album is the most uncreative one of his career, maybe along with #8. The tunes have been heard 1000s of times before, the guitar is - I hate to say it - boring and uninspired. Roll on, J.J., don't end your wonderful music career with an album like this.

This one is solid from top to bottom.

The Oklahoma singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist raises eyebrows from the get-go on his 16th solo outing, dipping into jazz for the gently swinging 'Who Knew' and the self-effacing 'Former Me.'

Roll On finds Cale back in vintage form.
